WHO do you think should be TIME'S MAN OF THE YEAR.

ahh well Cherokees don't really count...I'm referring to the usual Jeep Wrangler.

I guess I'm relieved to have the pressure of a hypermale ride lifted. I got the Cherokee after I was hit in my MGB by a tractor trailer on I75 going 80 mph.

I've been to highlands a couple of times....very nice...went once w/ a guy I was seeing.

Frankly I loathe it. I used to go there as a kid and there was nothing to do but ride horses and play tennis. Now it's just Midtown/Buckhead displaced to the mountains and it's full of assholes. We bought a cabin outside Highlands about a year ago because (a) my partner is a gardening freak and Highlands is in a tropical rain forest and is the highest point on the East Coast and (B) it's only 90 minutes from the city and, being so high, is cool year round.

Buckhead fucks up most desireable areas, i.e. buckheads migration to Virginia Highlands, although Virginia Higlands isn't particularly exciting either, but in comparison, to most other Atlanta neighborhoods it's not bad.

Hmmm....I have a Wrangler that is built to the gills. Almost rolled a couple times, eyewitnesses reported a tire 3 1/2 feet off the ground both times. Cherokees are every bit as competent overall. Wider, longer wheel base has big advantages on much terrain. If you do Moab, UT then a Cherokee will do stuff the Wrangler won't.

But my Wrangler looks extremely cool...Cherokees don't.

the question is do you functionally use your Jeep or is it an aesthetic toy?
