North County. Carlsbad right now, but I'm moving to Del Mar.

Not all stations are 2.25, just that crazy one. Most are around 2.15 right now. I paid 2.11 on Thursday morning and I think 2.03 4 days before that, so it's going up FAST.

That station was 2.25 today and 2.17 on Thursday, it's so insane.

Yeah, here in AZ we're staring down $2.08 for super which is mixed with ethanol (15%) during the winter months and there's a shortage because of that, too.

To make matters worse, California applies a sales tax to gasoline purchases. We are the only state that applies a sales tax to both the state and federal excise taxes. This sales tax varies by county from 7% to 8.25%. Unlike excise taxes, sales taxes increase with the price of gasoline. Thus, our state government is reaping a windfall profit from the recent spike in the price of gasoline — and we are being taxed on taxes!

california is a great example of why it is dangerous to have democrats in positions of power. look what they did to california. if democratic/liberal policies worked, california would be prosperous example for the rest of the states to follow. crime is through the roof, the illegal immigrant population is larger than any other state, businesses are packing up and moving by the day, education is a complete joke, you are taxed on EVERYTHING, and to top it all off, your state is $38 BILLION IN DEBT.

how do you think they are going to fix that debt? that's right, raise more taxes, because democrats/liberals do not understand the concept of 'budget cuts'.

i think you, and other productive citizens of california, should move and help choke that state in debt....or atleast sign the petition to oust Gov Davis.
