What lengths do you go to to save on gas? (if any?)

I have a vespa, but I haven't ridden it in a while. Used to work 1.5 miles from home. That little thing gets like 70 mpg or something. I filled it up like every 6 weeks or so when I was riding it daily. I'm sure it looked funny, seeing a 220 lb. guy riding a little scooter, but nobody talked shit to my face. Actually, most people thought it was pretty cool and said if they were in the same situation they'd do the same.

I drive 70 miles round trip to work. I now drive 53-55 and get 32 mpg. Only takes me 8-10 minutes longer to get home so not a big deal.

nothing
gas/insurance/repairs/oil changes all paid by work
Thank god too seeing as it's a GMC full size cawk that costs 80$$$

wife has a Subaru outback sedan which gets good MPG but still takes $50 and up to fill. Who the fuck would have ever imagined the day a 4 cyl subaru would take 50 bucks plus to fill with regular 87???

I heard that if you're behind a greasecar you can tell what kind of restaurant they get their oil from.

I think it boils down (ha ha) to two types, it either smells like fries, meaning fast food, or not, meaning chinese place.

lmao. What's funny is, the wife and I did one of our wedding pics on that thing. It was the photographer's idea.

I was in my suit, wifey in her dress sitting sidesaddle behind me with a bottle of champagne and her shoes in her hand. It actually turned out really cool. Everybody loved it. We made thank you cards out of them.

okay, just stay outt rural michigan cause you'll pay out the ass for your "free oil"

Pay out the ass, eh? Like maybe $100 to carry off their 100 gallons of used oil in their storage tank? Man a buck a gallon is outrageous.

how can anyone possibly justify that!?!??!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!@#@@@! :heks:

I'll skip gears. Like, start in first then go 1-3-5, or maybe 1-2-4-6. If I don't have hills to contend with, I'll get into 6th by 35-40 mph. However, my area is almost continuously hilly, so I'm always having grades to deal with. My long-term average fuel economy is up from 22.1 to 23.6.

fill you tires up perfect to spec

also drive behind truck or buses on the freeway since they create a wind barrier hence less resistance
