What is the best martial arts for self defense?

bullshit. there is no such thing as a black belt in muay thai. in fact, muay thai doesn't use a belt system at all.

Whatever floats your boat bro. Welcome back. :artist:

whatever floats my boat? you just caught lying. what else are you lying about?

you really should cut the crap man. I've been nothing but nice to you and you keep following me around trying to mess with me. I've told you on several occassions that let's let bygones be bygones for whatever the reason is you're so pissed or frustrated with me.

I've done 11 years of martial arts. I have two national championships in Wrestling, I have acquired a black belt in both full-contact kickboxing and muay tai (in Lebanon) whether you would like to believe me or not is your choice. I don't really care. But for the sake of not boring everyone else on EF and making threads like this uninteresting, let it go. leave me alone and go play along somewhere else. Oh, and I appologize for whatever it is I've upset you with. There. Happy? :)

I would go Aikido.

Sorry
I don’t agree with this.
He has limited time and in an Aikido dojo the sensei expects you to be in class and often.

I have been training in Japanese arts non stop since late 1980's. Aikido is as Japanese as it gets man. A lot of Japanese formalities and etiquette are found in all real Aikido dojo....don’t do it unless you have a lot of time and patience and no ego.

aikido involves a lot of joint manipulation...it's a little too 'classical' for my tastes, though.

they like to implement a little too much eastern philosophy/spiritualism into the class.
