What do you think of this letter to a restuarant?

You should have slapped your waitress with your overcooked Ahi and told her you have pulled better tasting crabs out of your pants.

I think Lestat is just trying to raise his post/word count average with this thread. Don't be fooled people.

To late to do anything.. this should have been handled that night.

If you are gonna send the letter cut out the lead up and the questions. State your complaint and leave it at that.

I hate confrontation and being an asshole, I don't play that role well.

I just wanted to get out of there, I was so annoyed..

I'm the exact same way, I don't play that roll well either. Sometimes though you have to speak up, like it or not. I think the only thing a letter will do is give you piece of mind. Otherwise, I think it will just end up in the trash. It's become a sad world without customer service.

what kind of tip did you leave the waiter...similar situation happened to me at a steak house in RI....everyone bragged..place sucked...left the waiter a 1$ tip for a 280$ dinner....made some wise ass remarks when serving to me....wasnt very good at all..

Letter's too long, who cares about the geigh-ass cigar shop?

Reading that fagged-up crap, no one would believe you have a girlfriend anyway.

Finally, eating anyplace related to Houston's is your first mistake, 100% pure garbage, sorry the meal sucked but no surprise.
This restuarant is NOT part of the Houston's chain, we went there instead of Bandera which is a franchise of Houstons.

I do have a close friend who manages one of the LA Houstons, and maybe its only because I can eat there for free, but I'd say its a quality place.

A manager/owner is not going to want to read your life story. Keep it to the point, as others have suggested. The tone of the letter is good... not aggressive, but the reader can tell you weren't pleased with the lack of service. Cut down on your wordage and you should be fine.

If you don't mind me asking, which restaurant were you at?
Five Feet in Laguna beach.

I will look to shorten it.

The letter was my GF's idea.

I left a 15% tip, I was not sure if the delays were the servers fault or the kitchen, so I didn't want to penalize the server.

What do I want? I don't really care honestly, I just want to give them my feedback.

The place has an awesome menu, great potential, I am really bummed out that it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.

Free meal.. yeah sure, but I live over an hour away and I'm not so excited about going back again.
