what are first timers being told these days?

first cycle should always include test at

When you as in YOU are asked by somebody who is 100% ready to start a cycle do you tell him to run 250 or 500 test?

I'm really just wondering if there is anythng we can all agree on (LOL)
 
i say 250 because thats what i did and i got good, not great gains (10 lbs +-), but it also eased me into the dark side and has now allowed me to get GREAT gains off of Te.st E @ 425 mgs EW (20 lbs +-). if i took 500 to start, my guess is i'd need 750 currently for the same results. it also minimizes sides.
 
Yah Acela that is the logic behind 250. In theory this way you work up.
but there any many many who know much better than I.
that's why I brought it up.

i guess that a first timer would get good gains of 250 or 500. i used 500mg my first time and wanted to stop gainning weight by week 8.

what he said... if a newbie has his nutrition in line 250mg is plenty! :)

same here, actually cut cycle short 3 1/2 weeks early because of it.

just curious, were the gains too obvious (to others) or were you physically uncomfortable putting on too much too quick?
 
I'm not sure what first timers are being told but I can tell you the WORST things they're being told. Recommending over 500 mgs, the fallacy that anything under 10 weeks is a waste and that testosterone is best for a first cycle. All bad advice.

Today is SUNDAY? :)

Seriously, I think an ideal first cycle is something like 500 mgs of Primo for a month. I know...that's a girlie girl cycle but it'll give you a taste of how the stuff works and since it's your first you're more likely to make the most of it with hard training and protein consumption. I found that the more cycles someone does the more the training and diet can get lax.

i can defiantly agree with primo on first, but for one month? it usually takes my favorite compound 4-6 weeks to start kicking...

please expound further...

maybe:

1-8 primo 300/500 ew

prefer:

1-12 primo 300/500 ew

I just think it's too long. You can see results sooner. Plus, sides are more prevelant after 6 weeks. Recovery is harder.

I also think that psycologically it isn't a good idea for someone to get used to being on for so long. You never know how you're going to react. They can always do another cycle a few months down the road. And it's a long road indeed.

Slow and steady gains are the most solid. Guys who gain 20 pounds the first time out tend to lose it and then spend the next 10 cycles trying to get it back. Then they quit. I see it all the time.

I'm getting read to start and was told anywhere inbetween 250-500. I'm running Sust 325 .5cc E3D right inbetween that. The most I'll run in one week will be 488 and that will only happen 2-3 x in a 10 weeker. Discipline is the key with diet, training and rest.

Worst case scenario, I can always turn it into a 8-9 weeker.

it was obvious that i packed on weight but i dressed in over sized clothes to hide it. but the main problem was it was definatley uncomfortable packing on all the weight so quick.
 
It's weird reading things and more or less knowing the answers now. Docs typically prescribe around 100mg/week of test for HRT - or so my doc told me. I would say 250mg is plenty, especially for a firs ttime cycle. 350mg will give anyone everything they could ask for for their first cycle and more if they train and eat right. I've known too many guys with good habits take that approach and gain far more than guys with a worse work ethic taking mroe drugs. You just don't need a lot.

I hear ya...4months ago i weighed about 165 ish and i checked in today @ 190 (i have made DRAMATIC changes to both diet and lifestyle) and actually my cycle is quite modest ....by EF standards... 400/400 T.est E & E.Q week 12....i am having a hard time bending over to tie my shoes....its funny though, my waist has gone down a belt loop its just "weird" having this much more mass...i've actually bumped into walls misjudging my shoulders walking through a door!
 
if you cant gain on 250 test for 10 wks first cycle.....your are gonna have a helluva time body building and ditto what nelson said.

i think 250 is plenty for a first timer

also seeing alot of deca is bad
ive always thought its a mild roid
 
hell i did 200mgs of test a week HRT and a shot of 1000iu's HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - every couple of weeks and i put almost 20 pounds in 15 weeks. but the diet has to be there. alot of the "right" calories. ALOT of protein. it took me years before i understood how to diet. then after 3 years of learning that went to the doc and got the scripts for the HRT and bought the PCT - post cycle therapy - gear for when i finished. these docs want you to stay on it all year. im too young for that and my natural t levels werent that low. now i cant wait to do my first "real" cycle.
all in all 250mgs once a week should be more than enough if youre eating right to gain muscle and slim the belly down to a 30 inch.
 
personally I would suggest 400mg as a minimal amount....you never gain like your first cycle, and if you short yourself on the dose, you will walk away with less. I went with 500mg test, and 30mg dbol(for the first 4 weeks) and kept 22lbs...with a physique that was already pretty advanced

Personally would go with 500mg/Week for a first cycle. Take advantage of your first. With proper nutrition/training you should be able to make some very solid gains from straight Test cycle at that dose.

I did 500 and got more than i asked for in gains but id do it
again .

I just got off of my first cycle of test cyp 300/eq400 and almost wish I would've done test at 250. It's not because I gained too much though, but a lot of people say to keep it at the bare minimum and 250 would've worked just as good for me. Had great gains!!
 
I'd say either one.

If you think you will be satisfied w/ 250 then stick w/ that, if not bump it to 500.

I only ran 250 for my last cycle.

I had to quit it cold turkey on wk 8.

No hcg,clomid, ai or anything.

It's been 3wks and things seem to be fine as far as I can tell though.

Nope, I'm just gonna ride it out and see what happens.

Gains were good up until that point, I was up about 12lbs and strength was way up.

Really haven't lost much considering I didn't do any PCT and I was in the hospital which you know what kind of food you get there and I haven't trained at all for 3wks straight.

I would if I had some, but there was a situation that I lost everything in my stash. I mean everything.
