i offered a house on a website for someone to stay in. a couple displaced and staying about 15 minutes in another town contacted me. i told them they could stay till they got back on thier feet.

they had a house and small business in bell chasse. supposedly it got hit pretty hard. they arent allowed back in yet and dont know when they will.

anyways, i told them rent free since the house was just sitting there, no biggie. wellbeing the good people they are they contacted fema and after squarring away getting thier assistance she told them she was staying in my house. fema gave them a case number and were supossed to draw up a small rental agreement and use that number so fema can cut me rent checks.

i dont even know what to ask for. i wonder how fema verifies what i should being charging. im thinking of asking enough to cover the utilities that way the couple wont have to worry about that.

well i said it before, the house was actually sitting there, vacant for a year. i been meaning to get over there and do work to sell it. and this actually motivated me to do the work and its for a good cause and fema will be cutting me checks by next week.
