Well - I pissed off about 15 guys last nite...

...Christmas party for my wife's school last nite. When my bill didn't come around I asked what was up and found out that the school was going to pay for everyone, including dates and spouses and their children. I voiced my objection immediately stating that I didn't feel that the tax payers should have to foot the bill for non-teachers. Heated arguments from the other men and women ensued.

Was I wrong??

To make it worse - It was a NICE restuarant. toytal of about 26 non-teachers at about 20 bucks per head...

I don't see anything wrong with rewarding teachers and their spouses for the effort they put in.

As you know, most spouses help make some sort of sacrifice
because their wife/husband is a teacher.
Whether it's time with them, physically helping with the subject that they teach, and sometimes, many times actually, helping financially, in buying supplies and the like.
