I don't know if that was directed towards me but I have been here since 2003. Most of you newbies don't remember needto as a drunken idiot starting shit on the steroid forum not knowing nothing about juice but that was way back in 05 :p

I would think the other mods also tune in and give their feedback.

I've been here a while and what mookie says is true, otherwise he would be a mod.

No matter what happens the board needs more mods because bad threads hang out way to long around here. A year ago 99% of the BS would get cut off the second something got posted. Now it seems the mods are fewer and not as active. :)

So? he makes a thread about supporting someone for a mod, and he doesn't want to hear from detractors? He'll have to go COTB to get the right to remove opposing viewpints from the thread. Like someone else did in a thread when he was pimping a product and didn't like the statements from someone who actually works in the Sleep therapy industry.

I think everybody deserves a second chance. Some times people are give a second chance just on faith and their promises… In the case of Needto and his current status on EF: he was not “given” a second chance, the guy has actually earned it thru his own merit... He has worked very hard to drop his old baggage and change his ways. Needto is living a new life! Both professionally and personally!

Some of our long time members have made reference to the old “C&C Needto” , the guy who use to get wasted and then post crap on the chat forum… If we are all going to sit here and judged today’s Needto, on the way he behaved when he was battling his alcohol problem. Then maybe we should all be afraid that one day, we too will be judged on our past attitudes and actions! All regardless of the person we have struggled so hard become and grow into… To this people I say: Just be happy there are still folks like me in the world, who can wipe the slate clean and give you a fresh start. You might need that one day… If everybody felt the way you do, nobody would ever have a chance to grow past their passed past... The key word being “past” here.

The only reason why I’ve been reluctant to make Need to a Moderator, is because I don’t want to ruin the site for him. This is something Needto and I have spoken about on the phone several times. He has become (thru his own hard work) an integral part of the Sponsorship and Marketing program we offer to select companies here on EF…

Right now, Needto gets to come here and talk bodybuilding with you guys. He recommends some good sponsored products, instructs guys on usage and just has fun and enjoys being a part of the community… He is able to openly promote the products he feels strongly about, without having the members doubt his intentions or questions his motives and integrity. If he were to become Moderator, that would all change over night. The net-wide stigma of the Moderator/Supplement Representative combo and the abuse of power that individuals like this have been known for. Its something that’s still fresh in the minds of all our members.

Sure, some Moderators recommend the products of our sponsors that they use and like… but Needto is actually a very effective and legitimate representative for the companies he works with. The guy is an indispensable commodity for any company looking to introduce their products to the EF members… The only way for me to fuck that up, is to make him a Moderator…
With a Moderator position come duties, obligations, responsibilities and expectations to fulfill! Couple that with his work helping our sponsors and you have an equation that just doesn’t have a good future… Even if what I’m saying doesn’t make sense to you reading his, please just trust in me and what I’m telling you. I have been sitting on this desk working on this site going back as far as 2000. I have seen every situation and possible outcome. This is not looking good…

With all of that I will say: I’m HAPPY to offer Needto a moderator position. The guy is a master chef who exceeds even my own culinary skills and I think he would be GREAT for our Bodybuilding Foods Forum. He is also great at spotting spammers and solicitors on this forum!. He is always willing to lend and helping hand and spend time helping our members. The guy would be an asset to the forum and would make my job a little easier everyday. EF would benefit greatly from having Needto fulfill Moderator duties on the forum… I don’t think I can say the same thing from Needto himself… Still, it is HIS online-life and ultimately HIS choice to make… On our end, we would be happy to make the offer… I just want him to think about it long and hard…



PS: Some people have approached me and told me that EF would “look bad” to the other BB forums on the net, for having needto as a Moderator. Maybe because of his difficulties with spelling, something he has had a problem with since receiving a brain injury in Iraq… Others have yet to let go of his past actions and think he should just be black listed for life! Regardless of all the progress and changes he has made…. I frankly don’t give a flying fuck about any of that… Other forums will always have choice words to say about us regardless of who is a Moderator, its called “competition” (Elite Fitness is the Big Dog on top of the hill). My only real concern is for Needto’s future on EF and his enjoyment of the site…

On a personal note. I enjoy seeing all of our members benefit from their time spent on EF and knowing that their life might be just a lil’better from having found Elite Fitness... I get to enjoy the site vicariously thru our members… Personally though, its like working in a candy store and being a diabetic! LOL I can’t seek advice about my personal life. I can’t post pictures of myself or really become friends with anybody here. I can’t befriend and bang any of the hotties on the site. Some of the chicks that come thru here are HOT (Fitness Girls!!!!!!!). Yet I can’t risk the drama that would come from one of these adventures gone wrong… I only get to laugh about it and clean up the mess when YOU GUYS do that LOL….

It does look like BRR and the powers that be have made a decision and it is not the decision we were all looking for and I respect his point of view tremendously.

I must say it has been and still is a hard decision to make. I respect brr and every thing he says. He has always been right even as far back as when I made my old site. I have had the great privilege of learning from brr one on one over the past year and even more so over the past few months. He is one of the smartest business men/person in general that I have ever met. I can't and I won't take any thing he says lightly.

I love helping the members of this site and I love helping the site itself. Part of the reason my personal life has changed for the better is because of this site and what it has dun for me. So any decision I would make. I would make Hoping I made the best one I could for the site as well as myself.

I know there has been mods in the past that have worked for the sponsors or for there own business that have not worked out. After every thing I have dun here and in life. Every thing that I have over come and made it threw. I feel if any one could do it and do it well I could.

It is an awesome and well spoken post. I have a couple pet peeves and mispelled words and rambling sentences are one of them. Needto's posts sometime make me suicidal because of the spelling. BRR's post on this thread was one of the most well spoken and intelligent posts I have seen here.
Needto needz2 take the mod position and call it good. Thanks for the overwhelming support on this thread everyone. As always you will get a fair share of haters. They have been sipping too much Hator-ade. The moral of the story ladies and gentlemen is that opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one. Peace.
 
HMM well since that guy sweep left and a spot is open .. how about the owners/admin let the members vote with A FEW CANIDATES IN A THREAD ? think it would be good for the site and show how much the owners respect and consider their members wishes =]! anyone agree? i think this site is different then other BB sities because alot of people PAY for memberships ..there4 they deff SHOULD have a say who MODS are etc!

^^lol same mistake i made .. he was offered the spot .. honestly i think u should go for it needto (if u didnt already) .. u seem to enjoy helpin people 2 much and your love for this site is un-matchable ..think it would be a mistake not to .. it might be tuff bein a sponsor and a mod at the same time .. but give it a shot.. i think u can pull it off
 
The last person I remember who was this popular with the noobs in the Steroid board was Fonz.
