then I should be able to pull over cops for speeding, crash into their cars (pit manuever em) if they refuse to pull them over, taze them, and then handcuff them and cage them in the back of my car. heck, if they resist even me pulling them over, then that gives me the right to do that to them, eh?

or, i should have the right to stop officers in their tracks and make them obey my orders. and if they refuse to comply I'll just taze them. I mean heck, I'm an officer, I can do whatever I want as long as I can find some lame excuse for my actions, or make up a lie about what someone else was doing.

i dont care how bad that guys day was, or how much of a rush he was in, or what fucked up lunatic country he was raised in, he pulled his taser out 20 seconds (count em) into the encounter.

he was not polite, he did not sound reasonable, he did not use the communication and negotiation skills i would expect a police officer to have. he went from "get out of the car" to "get out or im going to tase you" in 30 seconds, and fired. well fuck me drunk, there were 2 hulking cops in uniforms and one smallish woman (who might have been a dickhead but it doesnt matter) and they went from zero to tasing in 30 seconds, completely humiliating the woman, hurting her arm, making her bleed, and for what? SPEEDING? are you people nuts to think that this is ok? and by nuts, i mean, fucking insane?

being a police officer can be a difficult job, im not saying no, but dont you think that the police waiting a few minutes for her to put her phone down (she was on the phone to a boyfriend it looks like) then go about the whole thing in a reasonable manner? what the hell happened to force being used as a last resort?

that guy was a fucking idiot. and lots of people in this thread are fucking idiots for laughing and thinking that it is ok for some dickhead police officer, with an IQ of 85, with a stunning 3 months training, is justified in handling the situation as he did.

actually you jumped into a thread the other day quite spitefully, when brotherbill was playing around and insinuated (in humour) that i had made a bad drug decision for curling.

if you want to have a go at me thats fine, i really dont give a toss one way or the other, but do me a favour and come right out with it and say what you think

furthermore in regard to your above comment about loving the USA and not liking people "talk shit about the USA", might i point out that george w bush and his moronic policies are not the USA. the USA is a country, full of (generally) good people, though it is not lacking in faults, and if someone wishes to criticise those faults might i suggest a better way to go about it is to let your brain tick over a few times, thinking about what they have said about your beloved country, before you get defensive and become abusive - because let me tell you, from an external perspective, many americans are ignorant to the point of being warped.

as one who has been in trouble with the police, you get a lot better response with cooperation...whey you don't cooperate, it's fair game to handle the bussiness with force. With crimes rates as they are here, police work is not a nice duty and politness and allowing somebody to finish a phone call is not going to happen.

well of course you get a better response from police when you cooperate, but that isnt what we are talking about here. what we are talking about is appropriate handling of a situation and the use of force by police officers. if you think its ok for cops to act as the guy above did, then what can i say, ill leave you alone in "the land of the free" while youre being treated like a dog by people paid to protect you.

i dont care what country youre in and what you people are used to, i am disgusted, as a human being, not only at the brutality exhibited by that officer, but the acceptance of his actions by the americans on the forum.
