Very annoying situation... abscess or not?

yeah that first injection is never fun!! hahah!! ... but it gets easier...

if ya aspirate and draw blood don't even worry about getting it outta the syringe... just change needles and put it back in your body...that way ya know ya won't be losing any gear... it's just kinda like blood doping with a twist!!! .....just inject slowly, it will help with the soreness.... your body will tell ya how fast... but I go 45-seconds to a minute per mil just feels better for me...

BTW hittin a vein intramuscular is somewhat rare but its possible and the cosequences are severe so ya always check... but I've never pulled blood from a vein when aspirating.... ohhh and sometimes when ya pull out you'll have a run of blood... don't worry about it... that's ok.... I've bled like a stick pig after pullin out, it just means ya nicked a vein on the way in/out!! but it's ok just be sure to aspirate!!

Ok, good to know. Now I won't pass out when I see it. So what do you do if it pulls blood. Just back out, push out the blood, and get a new needle? Will the blood mix with the oil or does it stay seperated?

Thanks for all the feedback, I'm getting butterflys just thinking about it. I need to find a nurse to date and tell her that I need insulin, just with bigger needles, hahaha.
