listen to howard stern. he makes fun of blacks, jews, hispanics, middle easterners, whites, rednecks..... everyone.

besides, how bad are the black jokes blacks make about whites? that whites can't dance? or that whites talk properly? oh no!!!!

I've listened to howard stern a few times on K-Rock in the mornings and never noticed him saying racial slurs, if this is true than he should be shot along with chris rock.

I say shot as an exaguration obviously, I just believe that it has to be one way or the other ... neither blacks should have control over the jokes or the whites. If blacks can make jokes without being criticized than so should whites be able to ... well either this or neither of them should have the right to crack jokes about one another.

Have you listen chris rock "joke"? He makes every possible outburst possible about whites and, I for one, find it offensive. I am just naming chris rock cause he is famous and has a tendency to only joke about white people, but I notice this from pretty much EVERY black comedian.

At one time the above referenced "Negro Mountain" in western Maryland had the name "Nigger Mountain" While "Negro Mtn" is on the current 7.5 min USGS quad topo maps, the more offensive name appeared on the older 15-min topos done c 1920s. Maybe by now it should be renamed "Black Mountain" as "Negro" in Spanish means black anyway. Just don't change the name to "African-American Mountain," as one of the biggest problems in this country today is everyone feeling he or she should be some "hyphenated American!"

The folks maintaining the GNIS database of names shown on topo maps do change the names at times. There was an old "Whorehouse Hollow" (I think in Kentucky), which was changed in the GNIS to "Naughty Lady Hollow" Kinda like the change in "My Old Kentucky Home" where "this summer the darkies are gay" was changed to "this summer everyone's gay" [Maybe the "gay" will have to be changed if the anti-gay crowd has its way]

I try not to remember, but notice how many times in his "jokes" he says "white people" and this is usually followed by some negative comment about whites. Racial slurs were the wrong wrong, I just ment he makes way too many jokes about whites.

I have never noticed any white commedian say "black people" and go on to criticize them. We went to bermuda a few years ago on a cruise and one of the comedians was black and guess what the jokes were about? We also went to the Carribean less than half a year ago, and another black comedian came before the crowd ... guess what he was saying? Kinda funny cause there are a majority of whites in the crowd and they come and joke about whites. I left both times, so did most everyone else.

These are just some simple examples, I notice it on an every day to day life with interaction with black guys. I just think it needs to stop, there should be a mutual standard to this.

Again it's funny cause i've never noticed howard stern make any comments towards any race. Maybe on the radio it is somewhat edited but they let out more of the comments on the tv show?

you've never heard him do his Sambo impersonation? Where he says like "hello dere" or "holy mackaral" in a real ignorant black voice? man you missed out on some funny, yet appropriate shit. he uses the same voice when he imitates OJ or Jesse Jackson.

Yes there used to be jokes about blacks before, but I haven't seen any in the media since I was born. It's in the past, which sucks I know, but I don't notice any more whites making jokes towards blacks ... I do notice the opposite though.

Let me tell you somthing about me. First of all I have a job in the "real world" mainstream america. I've been working in law firms in the Bay Area since 1997. I''ve been told the following:

1. Do you know why all Blacks have brown eyes? Because God shitted on their face (the office manager told me that, she's about 68 yrs old, a law firm in Walnut Creek;

2. I was sitting outside taking a break, again in sunny Walnut Creek during the spring/summer - and was told by one of the attorney's "dont stay in the sun too long we may not be able to see you at night, this was said while another attorney was in the car as they drove by me;

3. I was called "Buckwheat" by a manager;

4. The city of Oakland referred to as "The Jungle".

Those are just a few things that have been said to me in the past. And you still think that whites dont say racist jokes/comments?

I'm sorry I dont hear jokes about whites of that nature from Black friends nor has anyone in my family came home and told racist jokes about other ethnic groups. My family know the meaning of and experienced racism first hand & so have I.

I find it hard to believe that you don't hear disparaging remarks against Blacks.

I grew up in a predominantly black city and I would believe your comments without question if this was 1963. Being that it's not, I find it impossible to believe these events occured at all and especially in california. If they are true then you are one unique guy and can consider yourself the most unlucky black dude this side of the mississippi.

Actually I dont give a fuck I you believe me or not. You see, thats part of the problem. And why did you begin by saying that you grew up in a predominantly black city only to suggest that I've lied? Whats does one have to do with the other? The law firms were located in predominately white cities. These things weren't said to me when I worked in Oakland.

I think you do give a fuck and you do expect white people to understand that blacks have experienced racism. I prefaced my statement because I wanted you to know that I've lived around black people all my life. I've never once heard of white on black racism. Not even ONE time. But, I have been a victim of black on white racism and so has virtually everyone I grew up with. Sure white people tell jokes and say shit amongst themselves, but absolutely NEVER to a black person's face. Admittedly this is mostly because white people are afraid to get their asses kicked. I'm not trying to insult you man, but from my standpoint I can't even begin to imagine something like you've described. Was this in some hick town or something??
