Ultimate Fighter, Season 2

Speaking of PRIDE- this is what I have to say on the organization: You have NOT witnessed MMA till you have seen PRIDE. UFC has NOTHING on that organization.. the talent pool is NUTS. Order an event you will not regret it, I gurantee you. I saw PRIDE Bushido a few weeks ago, and godammn... thats all I can say.. goddamn. Those lightweights are NUTS. Takanori Gomi has got to be the toughest lightweight whose ever walked the planet, I SHIT YOU NOT.

Agreed I love pride.

yah
but even giving them that, he was not carring about Joe showboating
if it were me I'd run my mouth about every heavyweight win I got if I was on Green Team

I agree with you all about Hughes. I lost a lot of respect for him too with his hypocrisy and then snubbing Jason after his win. What a prick...

I've got to check out Pride after hearing all you talk about it.

Anyone see UFC 55 this weekend? What are your thoughts? Personally I thought it wasn't that good of a UFC in my opinion but there were some highlights. I'm really looking forward to UFC 56 with Hughes and Franklin both fighting. Did anyone see Arlovski Vs Benatello? I could not believe that shit. Arlovski KO'ed Paul in under 15 seconds. Arlovski is a freakin animal. Who do you think out there could beat him?

Everyone I know who watches MMA fights has been disappointed by the UFC lately. There's nothing wrong with a business making money, but Dana White is seeing dollar signs in his head, and the fans are being given inferior product.
Since being sanctioned in Nevada, I've had to witness set-up fights like Arlovski vs Buentello. If you've seen these two before, you would know they weren't anywhere in the same neighborhood as far as fight skill. When I saw 55 being advertised like it was some kind of Clash of the Titans, I knew it was time for me to start betting alot more on UFC fights.
They bank on the fact that a lot of people haven't closely followed UFC to this point, and those who do bet sometimes go on a fighter's record alone(which only tells part of the story), or go with whoever everybody else likes.
Reminds me of the Tito Ortiz/Randy Couture fight where 99% of the celebrities in the audience grinned as they proclaimed Tito to be the greatest. Then, as I expected, Randy embarrased him(and made Tito cry).
I expect to get rich betting on these Tomato-can fights.

I'll have to keep that in mind....in hindsight, they did promote UFC 55 like some big deal. I haven't followed MMA for a long time like some, but I knew Arlovski would destroy Buentello.

Had I been a betting man....

Could they blatently promote Right guard and Xyience a little more?? The shots of one of those ugly bastards putting on right guard makes me want to go right out and buy some!! First season was much better then this one.

well the UFC HW Division is, lacking to say the least
it's really ONLY Mir and Arlovski

Hahaha. If I see another Xyience commercial, I quit.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about Frank Mir. I was thinking to myself, what if Fedor from Pride decided to terrorize the UFC; who would slow him down. (not stop him). Arlovski and Mir.

Neither.
Mir would be a walk in the park, Fedor has already beaten a tougher more acomplished ground fighter in Nogueira. As far as Arlovski, it might be a good fight, but again, Fedor as crushed much more seasoned and acomplished strikers than Arlovski. I don't see anybody beating Fedor right now.
