Hey guys I hear you mentioning Pride a lot. I must admit I don't know much about Pride. Do they have PPV events like UFC like Pride 24 or whatever number they are at? If so, can you recommend some good past events that maybe I could rent or download? I don't think I've ever seen a Pride fight and it sounds like I'm missing out. Also, briefly what are the main differences between UFC and Pride?

I've never caught any Pride fights myself, either.

From what I've been told, Pride is way, WAY more established than the UFC. For this reason alone, I'm thinking about going to digital cable and getting the new fight channel I've heard about...

Watch the Pride Grand Prix 2000 where Royce Gracie fights Kazushi Sakuraba. It's one of the best fights between the greatest of ground fighters.

Pride Fighting follows the same basic rules as UFC, except if I remember correctly you can't use elbows. But you can kick an opponent in the head when he is down.
In my opinion it's better because they have better fighters. They have the top Asian, Russian, and South American, and a few of the best American guys. They also get fighters from other systems, like K-1, Pancrase, and even some UFC guys fly over(like UFC franchise player Chuck Liddel, who got his ass beaten, but the UFC doesn't like to talk about that).
Besides, and no, I don't have SOLID proof yet, but I think the UFC spoon-feeds some of their favorite fighters with tomato-cans, to boost their records.

DAMN!!! I didn't see my punk-ass cable system on the list of Fight Network carriers. I'm calling the 800 number.

I just got around to watching the last Heavyweight fight. I realize I'm late but I still have a comment. TUF is sucking the more I watch it. Of course I still HAVE to watch it. It's MMA and it's on TV!! But seing guys that don't appear to want to fight pisses me off.
Rashad is a bitch who thought his weak-ass non-performance was good enough for him to showboat. Tom(who may have an injury) looked like a deer dazed by headlights. Guys, stop wasting everyone's time!

his outside fighting tho was...well, he should pay us for having to sit through that part
