Been on a diet for about 60 days, lost 30 lbs. My 9 week program tunred out ot be 5 month program. I took a lot of days off in the beginning and restarted a few times. Not focused I guess.

Hey guys! Just wanted to post up some new PR"s I hit today on the Partial Barbell Hack Squat (A deadlift done behind the legs).
Here are the PR's:
(All lifts were partials done off of the power rack, with the pins set one notch from the floor...lowest setting////565lbs is my best off the floor)
675lbs for 1 rep with no equipment other then chalk (Did 675 equipped before)
680lbs for 1 rep (equipped)
685lbs for 1 rep (equipped, hands were getting torn up from chalk)
690lbs for 1 rep (equipped)
635lbs for 3-4 reps (equipped, also bounced the weight off the pins as well haha Blacked out a little so lost count)
Im still working on getting a video up on these lifts. Hopefully I will be able to post one eventually.Also got a busted knuckle PR, I punched the power rack real good and my knuckle swole up like a golf ball. X-rays showed nothing broken though, just a bursted capillary. hehe Didnt notice it until maybe an hour later. Should be posting some new pics I took also, soon. ThanX for reading =)
 
5 sets of 5 with 85 lb db chest press. Last time I used dumbbells I barely did 75 for 1 set of 5. Hopefully I can get to 100s early next year.

i did, speaking of which, can i ask where you got the idea for doing pull downs in between each max effort set on bench day???....

also do you do anything like that for leg day???...if not what would you do???

Well I doubt if it's a pr, just don't ever remember doing them, also I got beat by my 2 training partners, 405 box squat with 2 blues and a green. So that's 985 at the top.

Reading the training journals on elitefts. I think it was Jim that I first saw doing this. I like it.

Dont do anything like that on the squat days, and if I did...not real sure what it would be. Maybe abs...since I would want it to be an opposing muscle to the one I am working...depending on the movement.

hit 225 x 5 , 3board raw.
250+ approx. 50lbs of chain off 4 board, raw
260 x 2 on CG 5 board
slammed 275 raw off 4 board

325 x 5 squat(geared)
295 low box squat( raw )

385 x 5 DL, raw

I always love reading PR's from everyone here! Keep em coming! Its this kind of comradery and encouragement thats gonna help us all reach our goals alot quicker, but then by that time we will have new and bigger goals =)
 
Just hit 300lb deadlift(off the floor) today for 2 reps.

Im pretty happy with this because I started deadlifting in late June and didnt plan on hitting the big 300 until my 20th birthday during January.

Last time I tried 205 was a couple months ago probably. I got it up only so far, and really had to move quick to get under it. It basically fell on me, and I was at the very bottom of a front squat. From the force of it all, I couldn't get it all the way up.

This time, it was cake. It looked like 135 going up. :garza:

Then I attempted 225, and that shit didn't go anywhere, lol. I bet I could do it if I hadnt done 6 sets of squats prior to the cleans though.

How much did the suit help? I'm really looking forward to getting one. Back in the old days, I'd squat with compression shorts, & they helped some. I havent' used knee wraps for a long time, either.

suit helped alot...it was a dbl ply poly frantz suit...real comfortable..and i got stuck w/385 in a single at the meet and got 365...then w/this one i got 395. so i'd say it helped quite a bit.
 
They have a picture of one at elitefts, Spatts might have a pic also. didn't know they were 65lbs so I guess I did 605 lol, Ours I know was bent a little to make it harder too.
