I have asked this on the Style and grooming board and didn't
get one response, so I figured I would ask here since I'm sure
I will get heard. Where do all you tall guys shop for stylish clothes? I am 6"5 and have a LOT of trouble finding nice clothes
(especially pants, jeans) in my size and in the styles I want/like.
Anybody???

I'm 6'6"...
I shop for pants at structure and nordstroms...
t-shirts I get a lot of stuff from eddie bauer, they have a lot of stuff, with "tall" as an option when sizing things out...

YUM

Are you looking for work clothes (casual or dress), club clothes, workout clothes etc.... give us some to work with. Where do you live by?

true story

Big and Tall stores for dress pants and shirts. Regular department store for casual clothes. I order my shoes from eastbay magazine or I where team issue. I order my dress shoes. They sell the big stuff you just have to look...

I'm 6'4" and its a bitch trying to find clothes that fit right. You just have to be patient because you're not always going to get what you want. I like structure, polo, stuff like that is always possible but again, it might not always fit right. JCrew has tall sizes too, all they way up to XXL.

I have the same problem.

I'm 6'5" and I can give you this one peice of advice. Shop in a store and if you find something you like it most likely won't be in your size. Check out the store on-line they usually carry larger sizes so you might get lucky.

For suits and business casual stuff...

Just go to a good tailor because you'll have to buy separates or "athletic cut" styles and I bet they'll have to do a lot of tailoring after that. Kind of an ego trip as well though.

im 6'6" big and tall too expensive for poor quality, i like buy where ever pants i get just about anywhere 34 inseme and shirts xxxL he he i even get some at walmart! he he,

I went through the same struggle, and I know exclusively shop at Nordstroms.

In addition to the name brand stuff, try their "halogen" line if your worried about price.

Also find a brand name that fits you and stick with it. For dressier stuff like suites and sport coats, I've found that Joseph Abboud fits me very well.

Good luck.

SEARS CATALOG... they carry TALL and EXTRA TALL sizes on almost all shirts and pants. They were the first mail order catalog to start carrying tall sizes... so I support them.

Thanks guys!! I am looking for casual clothes but really nice
designer type stuff. Want to pay a lot more attention to clothes
since that has always been not such a high priority for me.
I am in NJ around Jersey City area so pretty much in the middle
of a lot of places. Close to NYC too! What is moo moo's???? See,
the problem for me is mainly pants and jeans. I am a 38 inseam
by 36 length. Most places (Structure inc) will have pants up to
a 34x36 which don't help me none and NO I will not get my waist
down to a 34!! I'd look sickly. I am just a big thick guy.

6'4" I shop for pants at Gap and Structure.
32" waist and 36" length is a bitch to find!
Structure 32" 34" fits pretty good, and is way easier to find.

I just got fitted for a tux for a wedding, what a bitch! The coat fits great in shoulders and chest but looks like a tent around my waist.......and the arms are to short...even with an extra long....I looked like some sort of fag! I am just over 6'3"....i feel for u guys any taller than that! It is a fucking bear to buy cloths that fit well!

The problem with a lot of big and tall shops is that they really mean big and fat.

I'm 6'6 and I actually wear 34 inseam. Not all jeans are the same '34. I found that guess and polo run long.

Look on the good side, it might be more difficult for us to find clothes, but we look better in them then our shorter friends.

You got that right Muscle geek!

Hey 69muscle....you much do you weigh? I'm also 6'4", and I weighed about a buck seventy when I had a 32 inch waist. I'm about 215-220#, and have a 35/36 now.

Big and fat is right. When I find a normal shirt made to fit my neck, it balloons out around the stomach and waist area. I've since discovered the "french cut." They fit pretty well.

Don't feel bad tall bros I'm only 5'6 216 and I can't find hardly anytype of closes that fits right either, BTW hows the weather up there its cool at my level right now ?

Couture

Try Versace, Armani & Gucci

Most of their clothes are cut with more of V Shape to them and they do have large and extra large sizes. If money is an issue check their outlets because all the large stuff ends up not being sold.

I go once or twice a year to Italy and buy the stuff direct. You can get $3000 suits for $700.

Also find a good Italian Tailor.
