you are using another animal's life for your sport, plain and simple. you can argue yourself in circles all you want, but the facts are the facts.

He OWNED these dogs. He did this on his private property.

Had it been any sort of livestock without "dog feelings" he would have been ok. Imagine he raised game birds, as my grandfather did, he routinely would walk to the pen, grab one, and RING ITS NECK until dead.

But Vick needs to do PRISON time for being mean to dogs. THAT is offensive.

Again, hunting and raising animals for slaughter is not comparable to using animals to fight each other for betting and entertainment!

As far as his prison time and wether it fits the crime, who the fuck cares... the consequences of the crime are not hidden they are well known. He knew it was a crime... chock the fuck up and be man. He's a bitch. I hope the prison guards pit him up in fights against other inmates for their entertainment.

I was at the Del Mar race track on Thursday.

In the 4th race, a horse threw its rider, broke a leg.

It was killed on the spot.

That animal was raised, and killed, in the process of being used solely for betting and entertainment.

And of course I care if the punishment fits the crime. Would you like to do prison time for a speeding ticket? Afterall, you are putting OTHER people's lives at risk when you drive your car at excessive speeds.

The horse was killed because because it was the most humane thing to do under the circumstances. Racing animals isn't the same thing as fighting animals...


If I had to guess you are taking a Devils Advocate position on this for debate / TOTW motivations. These arguments are way to over the top.

They don't kill cattled based on what is most human, they kill them based on what is most cost effective and effecient. Many cattled are skinned while their heart is still beating.

i say never let him own any animal again, and give him mandatory counseling and therapy sessions. and MAYBE fine 500,000 to a mil and make him donate it to a dog shelter or some shit.

Also... people's real life family pets are often stolen from them and used in training fights and the such and then once too injured to continue in that capacity are released. Sometimes these animals make it back home all maimed and tore up and have to be put to sleep.

There's a real cost to real people as well... that have nothing to do with this bullshit...

its killing and mutilating them against their will no matter how you look at it. hes a fucked up person for torturing and fucking up all those animals, but hes not a danger to society...he needs therapy and shouldnt be allowed near animals, and maybe lose some money as a punishment to him...anything more punsihment than that, in my opnion would be a greater crime than he commited.

we cut up animals and sink our teeth into them and eat their flesh and pieces. people volenteer to fight eachother in sports sanctioned events. HUMAN fighting is legal. yeah yeah the dogs cant choose to fight, so its wrong, but with that mentality its equally as wrong to kill cows and eat them against their will
