its how I feel, I think this case is complete and utter bullshit. the punishment does NOT fit the crime.

Removing the legal content ... don't you think something has to be psychologically wrong with an individual who enjoys inflicting torture on a animal?

There is a difference between hunting, it's a natual thing for carnivores and it's how we survive. Not much different than breathing, although there is a necessary cost.

Pitting two helpless animals against each other in a death match is purley for entertainment is something completely different.

To compare the two activities and to act as if there is no difference is beyond offensive.

you are using another animal's life for your sport, plain and simple. you can argue yourself in circles all you want, but the facts are the facts.

He OWNED these dogs. He did this on his private property.

Had it been any sort of livestock without "dog feelings" he would have been ok. Imagine he raised game birds, as my grandfather did, he routinely would walk to the pen, grab one, and RING ITS NECK until dead.

yes, i do. I don't think being mentally fucked up mean you go to prison though.

But yes, I think that whenever I hear someone talking about a hunting trip, I think there has to be something wrong with you if you enjoy killing defenseless animals for sport.

I absolutely believe animal cruelty calls for hard time. Hunting, which I'm not crazy about either, is done for animal population control and at least the meat is eaten. Making dogs fight to the death for pleasure is something entirely different.

I've been on hunting trips, and the meat was never eaten.

I've seen animals wounded, but never recovered (so that means they were off living somewhere with a bullet wound).

Hunting seasons are regulated to prohibit animal extinction. Without hunting, most animal populations would not get too large, there are some select exceptions. Many animals are hunted to near extinction though worldwide.
