The progress of Lestat

I started lifting seriously in 2001.
I was 165lbs @ 5% bf (I was running half marathons)
I ballooned up to 215lbs and 20%bf
Since then I've done a bunch of cutting and bulking, I'm 195lbs now and maybe 10% bf?

So yeah, I've definitely made progress, but now am looking for ways to take it a step further (without juice)

All that work must have seriously changed you life.
I can imagine the confidence it gave you with the ladies and even at work!

yeah it has changed my life in many ways, I love the attention I get from women now just by having a little more size, not a monster, but enough to notice.

my advice would be check out the Madcow 5X5 program in the training forum. your lifts will skyrocket and if you're eating properly you'll put on some size with it. I'm lifting weight I never thought possible and gaining without much fat. after that go back to HST and your 5rm's will be much higher and you'll get more from the program.

BTW I respect the fact that you're doin it without juice. it takes longer but the rewards are all the more satisfying.

More protein and more carbs. Doesn't sound like you care about fat at this point so just up the carbs and the protein. Increase calories and don't do no 5k runs like I saw in your gallery

I generally tell people to work on thier diet and their form in the gym and thier workout routine before worrying about gear. People think gear will do all the work for them.

Work on the fundamentals first
lol i did anavar and worked on my diet before and got incredible gains and i kept it all

I wish I could do juice. I work for the gov't now... But I've beaten juicers in the gym by miles.

Infact I had juicers staring at my arms (then 21" inches) doing tricep pushdowns cause they were spending big bucks on tren acetate and still could push the whole stack on tricep pushdowns. Then they were still putting 45's lb plates on a curl bar and doing preacher curls with the 110lb or so and I had left that and was doing cable curls with a 200lb stack and adding a 45lb plate to that...

I'm not even going to talk about the leg workout... Those dude weren't even in my universe

judging by your pic you dont need it wootoom. having a juiced out body doesnt really matter anyhow. but never say never. :o
 
You looked very dashing in your tux, Lestat.

Great progress! You used to be so thin. It doesn't hurt that you have a really handsome face. Some guys can work out and get really perfect bodies, but there is nothing they can do about their scary mugs.
 
Looking good sir. Very nice and solid looking progress, lean and the tux does not make you look like a balogna smuggler.
 
thank you for all of the comments and advice.

I run 5Ks to keep my cardio endurance up. I want a healthy heart and want to be able to go out and play sports and not get winded.

I eat a pretty balanced and healthy diet, I'm not cutting. If you look at the last picture, my most recent, you see I still have some fat in the love handle area so its not like I am restricting my calories so much it would impede my muscle growth.

what do you do?

everyone loves that 5x5 thing, but I've been doing HST for a long while now and its given me some nice gains.

it worked for me. Not size, strenght.

Strenght, in my opinion, is the main goal of that program (you see all those core exercises?). Size might come as a byproduct
