The Importance Of Steroids

I think we are forgetting the most important part of the thread...

What company do you work for COB?

(Sorry about your thread Nelson)

Sorry I wont say where I work! You will just have to believe me because I said so! Thats AR's theory. Only way I can prove I know what I am talking about is answering questions about Engineering/Commercial Construction/Developement other than that I cant help. Since this Industry (Bodybuilding weightlifting whatever) is nothing more than a hobby to me I am not anywhere near willing to risk my career on a childish ex con that has proven himself a liar and a slimeball in more ways than one. With that info he would abuse it for sure and I believe that 110%!

Lets all be clear that I never used his personal information (real name) etc. ever. I dont believe in that regardless of how I feel about someone.

I think it is a shame that two self proclaimed “experts” who have not earned any respect anywhere

And have only bragged about who they know, who they have talked to, who, who, and me, me, me,,, and how great they are,

can simply ruin a decent board in a few months time.

Where 99 percent of the guys are here to learn more about gear, training, diet, rest and body building,

Most of us are not selling snake oil, or sugar and sand and claiming it replaces gear, PCT and Anti-E.

We lose a couple of sincere guys that are extremely knowledgeable,

and pickup a couple of braggarts who are childish, insulting, arrogant & conceited
and know absolutely nothing, and have zero experience, education or formal training or Credentials.

They certainly have no ability or practical experience to share with others or pass on anything useful about gear, body building, diet or training, They could not help if they wanted too, but what really burns is they don't want to. They don't care. They just want you to agree with them.

They are simply to be put on the Jkurtz Diet advisory board

-Jkurtz is a step above these two.

In plain English they don’t know what they are talking about and are trying pathetically to impress people who see through them. And since that does not work they resort to the old grade school technique of a pissing match, argue over nothing.

The roid store has its advocates and these two drop outs are in the same category.

I think some people are just letting off some steam, QS. It had died until AR chipped back in again so both sides must be enjoying themselves here, perverse as it might seem. :)

That was a great post (thread) Nelson. Very true.
I went from squatting 315 for 10 to 365 for 9 with no juice. Just a shitload of creatine and prayer before each set. I had also stopped counting calories and therefore more food. This was in 1996. I had not touched juice in 4 years at the time. But my bench would never shoot up like that, as you said genetics (as you said, your chest vs. your calves -- we have opposite genetic attributes)
My chest http://img115.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00091ff.jpg
My Quads http://img227.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00260tq.jpg
My Hamstrings and calves (do not train calves other than squats) http://img476.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc002614tb.jpg

I give all thanks to God for all I have and pray He returns me to my best and beyond. God giveth and God also taketh away.

Good thread Nelson. And not controversial -- but, without reading the prior 160 posts, I'll bet you are still being targeted by some.

Q.

ya want me to lock it down kiddies? Nelson?

I don't believe in locking threads. The argument can resume elsewhere, meanwhile the topic is lost. Everyone loses.

Is there any way of deleting the "argument threads?"

I think the issue of steroid importance is one which should be disscussed and I think a lot of guys stories, such as bbkingpin's, can be a tremendous help to newbies.

I'd like to make a personal plea to CO and AR to agree to disagree. Both had their points. Both went too far. It's not like they're kids just looking to flame. Argumenets happen. Let it go.

Message boards are a great equalizer. Everyone has equal time. This is why guys who are actively involved in the industry try to present their credentials. But that can come off like me , me , me. And it's easy to knock them down.

My advice is to take what you can use, and discard what you can't. Debate and/or dissagree... but say why. Make a point. Don't just attack other people. And leave the personal insults and boasts of "ownership" in the schoolyard.

What makes the biggest diffference in transforming your physique? They used to say that diet was 75% of your results but I've questioned that from way back. Nobody ever became muscular from eating well. And look at guys in prison. Some of them are jacked -- and they eat slop.

You can't discount food (especially protein) but it's more the training that is a factor. Obviously, drugs help that. But how?

I don't mean to sound didactic, but I get the feeling a lot of people don't really understand how steroids work. Forget all the molecular, chemical claptrap. They do essentially 3 things.

1)...Repair and grow muscle tissue broken down through intense exercise.

2)... Increase blood and water volume thus increasing the size and strength of the muscles.

3)...Utilize and recirculate nitrogen (protein) in order to build more muscle tissue.

So what do people do?

1...Don't train hard enough to sufficient stress and break down muscle fibers.

2...Take more drugs to reduce "bloat."

3...Cut calories in an effort to stay lean.

In other words -- everything that works against the purpose of using drugs in the first place.

Is it any wonder guys are using a gram and a half to look like someone who's been going to Bally's for a couple of months?

And by the way: You're in an anabolic environment FROM DAY ONE when using anabolics. I get the feeling guys are sitting around with their thumb up their ass for 6 weeks waiting for the gear to "kick in." IT'S IN!!! Get to work!

At their best, steroids can give you an extra 10% advantage. That's pretty good. But training half assed and getting that extra 10% will leave you with less gains than if you trained harder and used nothing. Doubling the dosage will not give you an extra 10%. Double the weight. Double the sets.

Now, in the past I've spoken out against the supplement industry. I know how they work. In a lot of ways they're worse than ever but there have also been huge advancements among serious researchers and developers. Whereas in the past, supps would give, let's say a 1 or 2% advantage (not worth it when you can get 100 dianabol for twenty bucks at any gym), today there are supps that can give a 5-6% advantage. That's pretty good. And a waste not to use.

My approach to supplement design was to create products that not only gave an advantage, but an advantage to the guy USING GEAR. Obviously that's a hard sell. But I believe there's a market for it.

Now check it out.

Imagine making the most of ALL the available options? You'd be amazed.

And just for fun...

Look at some of these guys. Sure, they had great genetics. But even so.

This guy used half the gear that most of the members use. How's he compare? http://www.musclememory.com/show.php?a=Nubret,+Serge

Totally natural. Age 50. Big believer in supplements and one of the first proponents of mega dosing nutrients. http://www.fitplus.cz/allpic/mf/f_260.jpg

Comparison of two guys from different generations with unwordly genetics. One claims to use less than a gram. The other used 25 mgs of dbola a day.

I can hear it now...

"BUT I DON"T HAVE THOSE GENETICS!!!"

Well, you know what -- if you don't have them, more gear won't make that much of a difference. I noticed that right away with bodyparts that were hard to develop. On gear, my chest (always a good responder) blew up like crazy. Yet my calves (which always sucked) still didn't grow all that well.

Back to the original point. Ten percent. That's all you get.

It's time to get the ratio back in order.

TRAINING FIRST.

DIET AND SUPPLEMENTS TO MAKE THE MOST OF THE TRAINING.

STEROIDS -- for the extra 10%.

I know some guys will never get this message. And many others already know it. But there are always new comers to the game and to the dark side. They should know what they're getting into. And they should know the best way to get there.

.....when i was locked up, the way i remember it , it was more competitive in prision then on the out side. all we ever did was eat , lift, shit , sleep.some did extra hour of push\pull ups in our cell after we got back in from the gym.and some looked like they are being forced into lifting\working out.i did becouse i wanted to , not couse i had to. i didn t have too nothin.
