There was no mention of pernicious anemia and your information is innaccurate.

But thank you you for your attempted insight.

You mentioned severe anemia in your post moron. Well, what do you think pernicious anemia is??? Break out a dictionary or a thesaurus. Pernicious simply means deadly, destructive, harmful, malicious, etc. etc. I guess I shouldn't assume that you would know that since your command of the English language is on par with a high school student and a dumb one at that.

What a typical Nelson response anyway. You attempt to discredit information as being inaccurate while at the same time providing nothing of substance to back it up. To coin one of your sayings, “you’re too stupid to realize how stupid you really are."

But injecting it serves no pupose. MD's used to inject it in cases of severe anemia back in the 50's but I don't think any doc would find it necessary today. I think it became popular with bodybuilders because it was just something else to inject.

I attest B12 ( B in general ) are MORE QUICKLY absorbed in IM form.
I do need it everyday as a doc prescription and the only one equally effective is SUBLINGUAL.
HOWEVER
injections are so painful & B vitamins should be balanced, not to risk to unblance them ( too much of just one, unblances the others ).
I then switched to B100 complex caps: no pain & no vitamin imbalance risk.
B groups has a short half life.

I do agree with Montana on the fact the "injecting" thing is a way to make some ages old stuff look "hardcore": for just BB purposes you may do as well on sublingual b12.

What's the matter Nelson? No comment here?? Are we "owned" again??

ive read that flax oil loses much of its potency regardless of how its stored, the benefits are greatest right when the seed is crushed hence the seeds are better, do a flax seed vs flax oil search and youll find out, the main reason i take the oil is to make the poop slide out cuz i have ibs from many years of 9 meals/day, i have a bag of seeds though and ill get around to working them in at some point, i havent looked around for the best way to grind yet

I've been buying the crushed seeds from Walmart. Made by Natures Bounty, in the vitamin section, says " farm direct cold=milled organic flax seeds" I dump some in my protein shakes.

I use a coffee grinder and it works great.

Just a quote off a random webpage about flax seed oil:

"Research from Charles Myers, MD, at the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville showed that flax seed oil causes a 300% increase in the growth of prostate cancer cells. Dr Myers said, 'It is the most powerful stimulus we know of for prostate cancer cells.' This information appeared in an article in the February 2000 issue of his Newsletter, Prostate Forum

I wrote him personally and was sent the following references.

P.K. Pandalai, et al. "The effects of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids
on in vitro prostate cancer growth" Anticancer Res 16: 815-820, 1996

E Giovannucci, et al. " A Prospective study of dietary fat and risk of
prostate cancer" Journal National Cancer Institute" 85: 1571-1579,
1993.

prostate cancer" Journal National Cancer institute" 86: 281-286, 1994

risk: a population-based case-control study in Sweden" International
Journal of Cancer 68: 716-722, 1996

and risk of prostate cancer carcinoma" Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers

S Harvei, et al. "Prediagnostic level of fatty acids in serum
phospholipids: omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids and the risk of prostate
cancer." International Journal of Cancer. 71: 554-551, 1997

He says that while there is no benefit shown to flax oil, these
studies do show a negative effect. He also states that the whole
flax seed may offer some benefit. "

Alpha linolenic acid seems to be the target of the studies. Bottom line can be found here.

Until more studies come out, I see no reason to take flax seed oil and NOT take fish oil. But, then again, everyone has an opinion :)
