steroids....soon obsolete?

cool....nice avatar by the way!

Thanks!

Richard is a misunderstood genius. I enjoy ripping on him, but the sad reality is he's probably helped more people than any other fitness expert alive. Sure Ronnie Coleman inspired more bodybuilders, but Richard probably helped a few million people drop those extra 100 lbs that were going to take them to an early grave.

He's my reminder that steadfast determination and pragmatism usually prevails over time.

Imagine waking up 4 weeks from now and being 77% stronger.

bench goes from 300 to 550 in 4 weeks.

fantasy, but it would be cool

Guys...I am telling you...this stuff is real...there might be some disagreement on the timelines.....but you can't find a credible scientist who disputes the reality of genetic engineering. It is the next step in our evolution..we are taking control.

As far as Richard Simmons goes...yes you have to respect anyone who has helped so many people.

I picked Tiger as an avatar because...well...he's Tiger Woods. Strongest mind in athletics.

don't even get me started on richard simmons. in my oppinion he is one of the biggest con artist in the fitness world. I think about all the obeice women who had purchased one of his video's with a false hope of changeing thier life. if your 100lbs or more overweight a few rubberbands that he claims are fitness tools and a stupid video where you dance around like a fool will never do you any good. and didn't he have his stomache stapled, little hypicritical if you ask me.

but anyway back to the topic, I had watched a video talking about the marvels of gene doping and how it could make mice apair to be double muscled with no extra work. the product was called igf-1. another letdown if you ask me.

What is interesting is that if this pill that makes you go 77% longer comes out on the black market anytime soon and then non professional sports people start using it and start performing at above professional standard in the local park/gym on a sunday morning who would want to watch the mainstream sport on tv if its feats are inforior to what joe public is doing. IMO sports need to move with the times and go public that they already juice etc. Why we dont have a offical "come as you want" olympic games i dont know - i bet loads me people would be interested in watching it - people love seeing the extra ordinary

That's the problem..people that are surprised when athletes get caught with enhancement technologies are just burying their heads in the sand.

One of the BIGGEST ethical questions is how to keep Olympic athletics free from this technology...and how to keep interest in any sport if your local high school athlete (enhanced) will out perform world class athletes that are not enhanced. My personal belief is that we are near the end of competition as we know it.

You may have him confused with someone else. Richard's message has been "Diet and Exercise" for decades. Remember the deal-a-meal program? It was a simple, card-based system to help people eat a balanced diet.

Fads come and go, and Richard has always said: "Diet and exercise". Celebrities pimp-out abdominizers and thigh-masters, and Richard said: "Diet and Exercise". The grapefruit seed and popcorn diet hit, and Richard said: "Diet and Exercise".

Richard isn't appropriate for evan a moderate health enthusiast, but that's not his market. He wants the fatties (particularly older ones) who need his message the most. Remember that the health benefits of a 260 lb fattie getting down to 220 is vastly better than a 220 lb in-shape person getting down to 208 for a show.

This is a debate I thought I'd never see on here. I can die now...
