"Sports Bottles are Excepted"

actually the dict will say that it isn't a word. it is a synonym for regardless, but the proper english would indicate that it isn't a word, it has just become one due to its missuse.
buch like the way to/two/too, and its/it's are fucked up all the time.

dictionary.com - good stuff. doesn't account for typos though. just b/c I know the words and how to spell them doesn't mean I can type.

True; however, it is almost blatantly obvious that they meant to write: "accepted." I mean, think about all of the different GOOD ways to use "excepted" or variations thereof:

"With the exception of sports bottles."

"Excluding sports bottles."

"Except sports bottles."

It's so obvious that they meant to say "Sports bottles are accepted" that I can't help but laugh my ass off every time I see that sign.
