i do NOT want to stirr up drama, simply continue a discussion on the english langauge and how its percieved. that should not be too much to ask. its a DISCUSSION forum, where far worse things are posted.

I wouldn't call anyone a fag either if I knew it might offend them.

Dude call your mother a cunt and get back to me. Tell me whether or not she thinks its funny. Or hey, why don't you do a little market research. Call some of your buds a fag in a joking manner. Then call their mother's a cunt in the same joking manner... then report back.

This is not about which word is more offensive than the word cunt.

This is about THE FACT that many, both male and female, find this word offensive thus it has been made known that it's use is unacceptable on elite.

there is A HUGE difference between calling my FRIEND a fag and calling THEIR MOTHER a cunt.

if i called my friend a cunt they would think its funny.

yet i see plenty of people call eachother fag. i was brought up by my mother saying shit piss fuck cunt, but if i EVER called anyone retarded, or gay, or a fag, i was immediately punished. probably because one is hurtful and offensive to an actual group of people, while the other is just profanity.

but yes, i will go home today, and call someone a cunt to my mother, and see what she says. we will then have a dicussion about it, instead of her slapping me and kicking me out of the house, because my mother is very reasonable and explains why things offend her, and allows me to explain why i feel differently, and then we come to a civilized level of understanding.

my mom wont get offended at me calling someone a cunt, because im not hurting any of the "walking human cunts'" feelings, SINCE A CUNT IS A SLANG WORD FOR A PART OF YOUR BODY!!!

but if i called someone a fag, or a nigger, my mom would smack the shit out of me, because that would be offending an enture group of either gays, or blacks.

but she wouldnt be mad over the word cunt, because cunt, does not demean an entire group of people. it just offends some uptight women.
