I don't buy that for one minute, there are PLENTY of poor people from all races, it does not explain the disproportionate amount of African AMericans in sports.
Where are the mexicans in the NBA and NFL? How about the poor white trash?

This is why this subject never gets very far. This really isn't simple subject matter or area of study for one who wants to argue a side or seek a difinitive answer. It looks simple and everything, but it's far from. The conclusions I commonly see people draw and the social/enviromental biases I see permeating everywhere always seems to lend to a self-defeating discussion with a frustrated base fixated with ineluctability.

then what is your theory as to why blacks dominate sports like sprinting, long distance running, basketball, and the skill positions of football (rb and wide receiver) do you think thats just a coincedence?

hocky,rugby,soccer,bassball,bodybilding,power lifting,all sports where the magority is whight,and all sports that take some sort,of,speed,power,inderance,balance.there are many sport out there that take these things were whight people or the magority.

nah, it's a product of being poor.....a lot of time sports are the only way out of the ghetto...same applied to Irish boxers back in the day, etc etc

The big black mandingos were sought after, no doubt, but that's not the ONLY type of black that was imported.

Even among blacks professional athlete talent is 1/hundreds of thousands.

I agree that is has more to do with economic status than race.
