i'd just like to say that high-rep deads are a disaster. i did this program for a couple weeks last summer and i messed up my back doing a 20-rep set at the end of the week. i'd definitely advise anybody to do something else besides those high-rep deads. its just asking for an injury

....they are really no more dangerous than any other exercise...you start slow and build the weight over time....jsut like any other exercise.....a LOT of the old Trainers and bbers did 20 reps sets EVERY workout -

if you re-set and pull after every rep, then it might be ok. but straight sets? i've learned my lesson

Well...its just one set and it is rest-pause

I did Corn`s old school wo about a year ago and went from 220 to 250 in a couple of months. I overate though and gained too much fat... I USED to think I was a hardgainer. lol. 5x5 was perfect for me. I loved it and would recommend it for size and strength.
