So Ive had this bug pile of cardboard in my dining room for 2 months now

And i need to cut it up into 2'x 2' pieces and tie it together in bundles.
a) optimally, should i get a box cutter for that?
b) i think it would be impossible to do with a steak knife
c) who the hell is gonna help me
d) this will take forever

The steak knife wont work, you'll have to use too much force and you'll end up cutting yourself, and it'll be a jagged cut, and you'll bleed, and sox will smell the blood and come after you....... I see razor claws dickin around in the pic......time to put him to work.
 
Chris is right, do NOT use a serrated edged knife (seriously, the job will be 10x harder). You should be able to clear that up in under an hour, just put some good music on and rock out on it with a straight blade.
