I just realized that in all my years working in corporate America, all my university education, living in the suburbs, dealing with capitalism, making money, etc.

I understand the terrorists.

I don't like what they did. I don't condone what they did. I feel great sorrow for the victims.

However....my own deep, seemingly irrational anger has come out to me on this board in heaps.

As a person of color, living in America, I'm angry all the time.

Weight training has helped manage this anger.

But I still feel it. I have reaped the benefits of this society, as the terrorists have.

I have taken advantage of the opportunities. I blame no one for my own situation...I am successful by my own definition.

But I hurt deeply for the marginalized people in this country.

A cab driver from Somalia said to me: "you Americans think you are so great...but the ones in great fear that ride in my cab are the white businessmen. The blacks, latinos, chinese, etc., have fear, but not nearly as much as the white men."

Why? Because white men in power have exacted their hypocrisy on people of color for centuries.

I don't hate. I would never commit an act of terrorism. But I understand how one could live somewhere with boiling anger and finally exact revenge.

And I haven't even been bombed.

So... you have just give anyone on this board who is white the go-ahead to target you as an enemy. This is the last piece of shit I will ever read that you have wrote. Do not even bother to respond, because I will never even look at another one of your thoughts. You call Hitler and the KKK bad people for feeling the same way that you do. They also have or had built up anger for another race. You point the finger and cry racisim... but you are just a gutless as the nazis.

I am a nice person. I like to smile and make friends. But in the last week, your posts have sickened me. What I mean is... the fact that you breathe my air is disgusting to me. I've supported some of your opinions in the past but I just view this post as completely unnaceptable.


Plenty of people fight back without resorting to killing innocents.

Killing strictly innocents in this fashion is never acceptable.

Though I far from agree with this, attacking the pentagon was more along the lines of an act of war then the murder of civilans in the WTC.

Freedom of dissent? Come on and use common sense, we all know the truth of how those people feel. They hate the U.S. for whatever reasons. Yet they love the freedom to express their hatred.

Would that be tolerated in Iran? Chechenya? Colombia?, China? No, no way...they would be killed.

what america did in in kosovo was help end ethnic cleansing which was a toned down holocaust. i think we did the right thing. we may have killed some people but look at the lives we saved for meddling as you call it. i support any war that stops the slaughtering of innocent people by a certain government that does'nt like them. what if we did some ethnic cleansing at home? how would you feel if you were taken to a "shower" and you knew you would die? would you want another country to come here and stop it? yes you would. ethnic cleansing in any form is evil and inhumane.

they didn't do it out of race. they did it for a variety of reasons (isreal, american imperialism, american lack of respect for islam, the cold war, the gulf war). i don't think racism was one of the reasons.

i think it's hilarious. person of color. its like going into a car dealership and the salesman saying 'we have ford tauruses, and a bunch of other cars too'.

persons of color = everyone who isn't white.

i think its funny. like how blacks call whites crackers. do they know what that means? or people who say 'ravishing'. 'you look ravishing'. does anyone know what that word means.
