Shoulder Pain

I currently play division III lacrosse. Every now and then when I body check someone, or when they check me - my shoulder almost seems to "pop". It is very painful and requires much stretching to relieve the pain. The pain mildly persists for about 2-3 days after the occurance. This occurs rather often. Should i been concerned about this? Are there any supplements that could help me out?


I've been lifting weights for about 2 years.
 
I had severe shoulder pain and loseness in the joint but I figured I would work through it. Well, it ended up being a torn labrum and a severely compacted joint wich required surgery to fix. IMO I would say see a doctor now, lay off the weights for a bit, get it fixed before you push on. Good luck.
 
Strained Rotator Cuff, start taking 2 ibuprofin 3 x a week and see if that helps relieve what I thing is probably some tissue swelling.

sounds like shoulder instability which can cause RTC inflammation. I would get a Dr. to check it out. If you had previous dislocations, your capsule may be loose. Conservative treatment would invlove training proprioception of the shoulder stabalizers. I'm a Dr. of PT. Hope this helps
