ok been having left shoulder pain for last 3-4 months now... Was on an anti-inflammatory and it was working fine. Had x-ray and mri done and nothing wrong with shoulder. Now in pysical therapy and therapist said chest is really tight and pulling shoulders forward. She has me doing more back exercises especially lateral raises front and mainly side. Heres the thing... my left arm when extended straight out beside me cannot be raised above my head. My other arm can go all the way up. It really just feels too weak to raise (and not really painful) but I know it hasn't always been this weak, so whats the deal? The pain when i position my arm in just the right place feels more like a "pinch" than anything...

Any advise? Certain excersises?

with lat raises you dont need to hit 90 degrees. go to about 85 to avoid rotator cuff strain. i used to try to get past 90 and had constant shoulder pain. now i do about 85 degrees and my shoulers are growing constantly and getting much stronger.
