Shades Jr (howelad)- Linear/Single Factor 5x5 Progess

He was actually just working out for the day up there, and he joined me on my 5x5. He said he would try to 5x5 with me, which is awesome.
 
Good work on hanging in there with the big dude. Keep up the big work and we will see how much you weigh when I come to town for your birthday.

Good job Howelad I want to see how much you progress on the 5x5 and I bet you felt pretty good to be just as strong as someone weighing 100 more pounds than you :D
 
Today is a training day, right? Post up, then add the post-workout meal in the cafeteria......you actually got me in the mood for KFC, but I am in the northeast, I have an excuse, lol, what is a Southern boy in AL doing at a KFC when you're probably surrounded by the real deal?
 
Oh today is definitely training day. I can not wait to post up the numbers I KNOW I am going to pump today.

Even though this is the south, we dont have fried chicken vendors on the side of the street. I wish we did though.

Started off on my squats as always, and they were still a little sore from monday's lift. Everything was goign great until the set of 3, where i thought it got pretty tough. My back was giving out and i still had a set of 8 to go. But i blasted through it and got it without a problem.

I still love the look on the NBA's "Nothing but arm's" guys faces when i do ATF squats. It's priceless.

So bench was just the same, and i did my nosebreakers as my aux lift.

Bent row actually felt easier than the last time i did it on saturday, which made me feel good.


But the biggest surprise of the day was when i weighed myself before my lift.

I weighed 179!!! thats easily the most I have ever weighed in my life, and 4 more prounds than on mondays lift. It really pumped me up for the workout.

After my lift I ran to the fiji house to eat some ribs, but sadly, they were all gone. So I just went to little ceasers and got a $5 pizza and some breadsticks, which i destoryed when I got home.

Another great day, and I actually already have people telling me that they notcie that I am getting bigger, which just makes me want to try even harder!!
 
Sounds like your body wants to grow....are you off until Sat now? For following along purposes, I guess you're doing Sat-Mon-Wed.
 
Yeah it really seems like it wants to bigger, and im going to let it. And yes, I am doing a Sat-Mon-Wed workout. Because I really know i won't get that great of a lift on fridays after a long day at work.
 
did you lose your access to the training table when you stopped playing ball? That is just infinite access to whatever you want to eat.
