Sarge's Lifting Chronicles 2006-2007

Re: Sarge hits the 5x5 for Ginormous Soleus Muscles!! - Log

lol, thanks ladies, and JP yah, hopefully it won't matter by summertime, i'll just be semi-nude and topless every where with board shorts

CS:

Hahahaha, do they make them with Navy pleats as to blend in a bit more at work?

Seriously though, they make dress pants with elastic sides on them now I think my father mentioned something about them... I will have to look into that stylish haberdashery.

Re: Sarge hits the 5x5 for Ginormous Soleus Muscles!! - Log

George Foreman has a line of dress pants out with elastic bands.....they can be found at Big and Tall stores across the country.....NO, I don't wear them and no I've never had to shop at the Big and Tall store, lol.....Just thought I'd pass along the info.

Re: Sarge hits the 5x5 for Ginormous Soleus Muscles!! - Log

There will be none of that, lol.

No big and tall stores, thanks for the info though :)

Hey bro, check out my previous question.... I know we have similar "frames" so I was wondering what size t-shirts fit loose/comfortably on you around 250lbs?

when im 210-215 (heaviest i have been) anything under 2x looks pretty stupid. id venture to say @250 you would fill out a 3x.

I bet your genetically gifted arms do look pretty ridonculous in anything but a 2X. My arms are snug in XL's... i'm not sure what yours measure at but they bust out of XL's i'm sure, lol.

I've been at 220-225 for a few months, XL's is what I usually put on and fit comfortably without being overly baggy for my taste. I have a couple 2X's but they're reserved for sleep wear.

Re: Sarge hits the 5x5 for Ginormous Soleus Muscles!! - Log

Sarge, for me it depends on the brand. Most cotton T's I need a 2 XL at 250+ and they fit 'normal' and some even are a little fitting around the shoulder girdle after a couple washes. Most of my golf shirts are a 2 XL.....in dress shirts I wear a 2 XL or a 19 neck/36 length in the sleeve.

If it is a very expensive expensive shirt, I can wear an XL, but for the most part they are too tight for my liking. Old XL's will do at the gym or something. I'm just not into douche baggery like walking around with clothes that are too tight.....I've considered it, but then thought "Nah, if I saw me out, I'd make fun of me" lol.

Suits, I get a 52 or 54 (if the arms are tight) jacket and then it is all just custom alterations from there on.

I've tried on 3 XL t shirts, but honestly even though "3 X" sounds cool, at 6' tall I look like a tool in them, lol, as they're just too long for my tastes.....If I were a little thuggish they'd be cool though.....A 3 x is for a thug, lol.....a guy over 300lbs......or a guy over about 6'6" with some meat on his bones.

When I am 220-225 I look best is an XL straight across the board.

Word.

That's what i wanted to know, lol...thanks man.

LOL @ the douche baggery. I've reprimanded myself for trying to squeeze into an old "T" size medium before

So probably just be a few more 2XL's purchases in my future... sounds good to me.

some of the guys below 200 like myself 'cough cough' need dbag clothes when they hit up the roxbury or some hot place like that lol. i prefer the term fitted...not tight. i think if you can find somewhere in the middle that's a good look.

good goal bro if 2xl is fittin you niely aroud the arms, delts, back etc.....however, don't get picked up at the mall cause security thought you were concealing a bowling bowl udner your tee.....anywho, nice lifts....

BTW - you weight is holding cause, like you said, you aren't eating enough or often enough.....makes the body thinks its starving so it holds onto everything and converts it to fat....u know this.

Re: Sarge hits the 5x5 for Ginormous Soleus Muscles!! - Log

Sarge, we've all tried D-Baggery, lol.....Over the Summer I was buying some shirts, and for shits and giggles I squeezed 255 or so pounds into a size "L" Polo golf shirt......I looked in the mirror and while there was no doubt about my gigantic traps and bulging biceps, the term ASSHOLE (written in capital letters just like that) came to mind, lol.....Basically, to keep myself in check I ask the question "If I saw myself out dressed like this, would I make fun of myself"....if the answer is Yes, it goes back on the rack.
