Leg work yesterday was killer! Really good work-out

cardio this evening

Notes =
-Got an hour of studying stolen last night because a fire broke out and got stuck on the highway watching these cute little FF's run around and do their job :qt:
-Doctor appointment today so I can get a referral to this ortho doc
-oil is getting changed right now
-Giving 1 hour massage today, working in clinic
-Pickin up my CPR/First Aid/AED cert hopefully tonight at the fire house :qt:
-Studying, studying while doing cardio, and studying... I always write that.. 1 written studying = 15 minutes, 2 probably a half an hour, so maybe I should write it again so I jinx myself into an hour... studying... ;) technically 1 hour and 15..
-Wow 23 days left till 3 month clean bulk over... Hmmmm new goal....
-Alright workin time.

Great job on the workout, studying....hmmmm...my only distraction is my kids, damn LOL

Oh not done bulking per se... just done with the 3 month goal of clean bulking ;) I'm ending it the day before X-mas taking a week off of diet and training the last week of the year. Then come Jan 1st more then likely will start another 4 week strength cycle. Depends... I have a few things I'm thinking about, also going to have to start going to physical therapy for my back. I'm more interested in finding out how they go about treating conditions then I am with actually going through the motions. I have a good idea what is going on. I think because of the curve in my spine my right leg ends up being a tad shorter which puts a lot of strain in my right lower back and hip region. SO.... I'm doing my own testing on the issue to see if I can adjust things. Because of the curve when I sit I think more pressure is on my left cheek vs. the right one. So the left side of the body is contracted most of the day, and the right is overly stretched. I was actually thinking about Shadow's issue with the rhomboids and pecs. He feels it in the rhomboids the weaker more stretched muscle, vs the overly contracted pecs. Well I'm feeling it in my right low back (RT Quadratus lumborum then is overly stretched, and LT one is overly contracted). So manual manipulation would be to somehow raise the rt hip so it regains normal tonus and is even with the left, in which case I'm trying a 'butt lift' :lmao: on the right cheek. This also will put more of a stretch then in the left side since it is overly tight. If I look at my first pictures my left shoulder is higher then my right. According to my research the low shoulder will also be on the side of the shorter leg. Bingo exactly the same in my case. So :nerd: we'll see how this works.. I know another step would be to get a lift in the shoe, but not messing with everything at once. More info then you asked but I did need to doc that in my log ;) So far I'm just achey. Whenever you go about messing with choronic adaptations in the body it will cause some tolerable (hopefully) pain.

Feb will be 4 week hypertrophy, March 4 week last cycle of strength, then I'll start cutting in April and switching between hypertrophy cycles.

Rough plan anyway....

LMAO.. ok I can see my left shoulder higher than my right when it 'feels' even... my right leg was usually a hair shorter than the left before I started seeing a chiro. He gets em pretty darn close but not perfect since I had reconstruction on my right ankle when I was like 11 (This was probaly a Type V where the bone is crushed and compression of growth 'bone' [I think it's referenced these days as growth plate]. I am opposite of you ... I think I contract my right side all day & that will cause for all these issues. OH also the cancer damaged my RIGHT kidney, so the right side likes to take over for some things, protect itself for others, ao really in the oddest things the imbalances are quite humorous. My imbalance is ironically not in my legs, but in my hips. I thought the bone growth would be stunted but to my surprise it wasn't (until I get another measuring xray, this is what the eyes can see & hands can see during the muscle assessment testing etc.).

I so feel what you're saying lol.

:lmao: Well I'm glad I'm not the only deformed person!!!
Mine is in the hip and leg.. since the slight spinal curve gives me a slight lateral pelvic tilt.
Hmm if your right leg was a hair shorter and your left shoulder is high then that's the same as me. Now I'm rethinking stuff in my head. This book By Dr. Travell says that if the shoulder is low and leg is shorter that that side of the body is the one that needs the lift to bring the pelvis back up with the longer leg side, and in doing so will bring the shoulder up to even with the higher side. I am also very right dominant. From everything I know you will always feel pain in the weaker link. The weaker link usually develops the trigger points and that's why pain is felt. What type of pelvic tilt do you have? If it's like mine and what I'm thinking your left side will be high. If your left side is high then the Quadratus Lumborum muscle which connects the lumbar vertabrae, the pelvis, and the twelth rib will be shorter and contracted. Reason being is because the 12th rib will be closer to the pelvis. Then the distance between the 12th rib and pelvic crest on the right will be greater causing an eccentric QL on the right low hip side. Dangit I need my books.. and I'm at work!!! Let me know what Katie says!
All this could be negated if you have a rear pelvic tilt and a torque in the pelvis which is the only other way I could see unilateral low back pain.
I want to see!

^^ I agree with the bolded part. These issues sometimes shift from right to left without reason. Esp in my upper back/neck. My right side was wicked tight, got a mini massage & adjustment (chiro)... 1st deep tissue K tried to work that out.. the next deep tissue if shifted to the left side (upper body) she was kind of surprised to say the least. BOTH TIMES she spent time on my lower left part of my back (what ligament is right there???) very tender what even she was doing but I left her beat me up. THIS TIME it's lower right side, not PAIN but tightness and you can just feel when something is off, this is one of those times. Confirm rear pelvic tilt is similar to that of the lower spine re: lordosis

I've seen it switch sides like that. Could be you found a new compensation pattern because the one side was hurting. So because of new muscles used to brace the back/neck they became overly tight which then would allow the others to relax. Some of the neck issues could be sitting in front of the comp all day.. Have you had your computer chair, etc ergonomically corrected for you, and if you wear glasses they are the right strength? Or the way you sleep.
Believe me I know the off feeling!!!
I think u mean sacroilliac ligaments. Ohh and rear pelvic tilt is same as exaggerated lumbar curve (lordosis)

Im thinking more iliolumbar ligament.. ya?

Neck issues, I am very hypertensive, I hunch my shoulders all the time, constantly trying to sit straight & correct myself. As long as it's not forced, I can tilt head side to side and snap crackle pop it goes. YES sitting all day needs to go, I really cannot take it, no matter how many times I get up, move around, stretch etc. I outlawed nightly PC use like I use to, unless I get another laptop and them I can use it on the couch .

I sleep on my back, that's pretty easy for me, & pillows feather based or similar (softer & not thick & plump) so I don't get too much tweakage. I couldn't sleep with a towel if I tried :) Maybe b/c my glutes are so big that helps protect my lower back lol. j/k I def think it's an issue that needs to be worked out with massages & chiro work and neuromuscular conditioning. I admittedly do NOT do enough of that, which is why I implemented to the yoga & pilates. Now I just need to seriously do it 3-4 x a week :)

If anything my lower back may have a slight rev tilt but not the typical swayback you see with that type of lower pelvis. My old training partner had one helluva booty and pronounced sway back, from heavy squating & Im guessing not to clean form.

It's odd the things we have in common haha
