PHYSICAL THERAPY = Went this a.m. Had a guy because my girl I couldn't get in with. It's cool getting another perspective and another way of doing things. My L5 was actually not moving today which is wierd since when I first started L5 was the only joint moving. Also, my right hip was anteriorly rotated when usually it's my left. Right now I can bend and turn side to side with minimal discomfort. Pretty good!

Actually the guy that did it on tuesday did it differently and it's been doing pretty good since, a lot less stuff. So I'm going to tell my girl so she can start incorporating stuff he did. It's pretty dang hillarious some positions they put you in with straps and all... :lmao: You would all die laughing if you would have seen this one position. My back feels a bunch better though so I'm not complaining!!!

Back was bad this weekend, hardly walking on Saturday, I know this time it has to be the deads from Friday. Soooooooooo I’m taking sldl’s out for awhile and adding in lying ham curls on elbows for first exercise, and keeping Romanian’s as my second.
I saw my girl this a.m. and she even said my erectors, and QL on my right side were pretty bad. So she did some mobz and it’s a bit better, just achey.

I have a 1 hour session this afternoon. Since I had my rt lower leg worked on to the bone this weekend it has been very sore. BUT it's the same ankle that I lacerated all my peroneal tendons when I was 12yso and since that time I have had a decreased ROM. This has affected me on calf exercises. Well I have increased ROM since she worked on me and I was able to jump 25 pounds yesterday because of it.

Got my results back from my NSCA PT cert and I passed ;) I did the best in program design, and the worst was in legal issues.

;) Here you go: I take it for the reasons listed below but it also helps with ADHD, and LORD knows when I begin dieting down that definitely is brought out! There are other articles that state long-term use has shortened the life-span in quail, but they don't know how that extrapolates to humans. So that's why I don't take it year around. Just when I need it. Not that I think humans can be related to quail....


DMAE Info
DMAE Has Many Positive Effects

1. What are they and where do they come from?

DMAE - Dimethylaminoethanol - is an antioxidant and a precursor of the neurotransmitter Acetycholine (ACh). Acetycholine is responsible for feelings of well-being and relaxation.

It plays an important role in the onset of a dreaming state. DMAE is available in supplement form. It can be consumed orally, or used as a cream topically.

2. What does it do and what scientific studies give evidence to support this?

Although the science has not yet reached a conclusive, supportable, position on the exact function(s) of DMAE, anecdotal evidence suggests that DMAE supplementation is very beneficial. For example, DMAE may be helpful in improving memory and learning ability.

DMAE supplementation has been known to increase energy levels. It may also have positive benefits for dreaming and mood stabilization.2,3


3. Who needs it and what are some symptoms of deficiency?

There are no known symptoms of deficiency. Everyone can benefit from supplementing with DMAE. Populations that may benefit most from the supplementation of DMAE include: The Elderly, Athletes, and individuals who wish to use DMAE for its cosmetic applications.

Increased energy levels are something that athletes require. High-intensity physical activity is very demanding. By supplementing with DMAE, athletes may notice shorter recovery times and improved athletic performance. DMAE also plays a role in muscle contractions (by being a precursor to ACh).4

DMAE, as mentioned, also has a cosmetic application. While it is not a "facelift in a bottle", DMAE can serve to tighten the skin when applied topically. This may reduce the appearance of aging. Individuals with a PABA (Para-Amino-benzoic-acid) allergy should avoid supplementing with DMAE because DMAE is a chemical relative of PABA.

4. How much should be taken? Are there any side effects?

DMAE is non-toxic and is safe for human use. However, it is recommended that label directions always be followed. Overdosing with DMEA can result in insomnia, headaches and muscle tension. Persons suffering from Alzheimer's disease, depression, or other psychiatric conditions should consult a physician prior to supplementing with DMAE.

5. Where can I get it?

i think the avg physical therapist makes about 80k a year...not bad for doing something you love. i think when you first graduate though you become an assistant to a physical therapist and start out around 40k....i've done som research. :)

how's the back treating ya?

No problemo :rose:

I try to keep about a 3-4 hour span between when I do HIIT and eat. That way my stomach is not all full. I also try and make that meal a carb and fat meal limit the carbs on it.
I drink a protein shake afterwards and usually eat like an apple, or 1/2 a banana...

Well I don't use it on my clients... but it could be. After the back is thoroughly warmed I suppose finishing off the massage to loosen the the attachments along the spine would work great. I am borrowing mine from a friend and actually use it in a hard way to explain. I take it lay it on the floor, and lay on it. I breath into my back and wait for the muscles to give. As they give I slowly slide it up about 1/2 inch to an inch to get a little stretch and to also hit almost the next attachment point on each vertebrae. Then afterwards (30 minutes) or so... I do a spinal twist exercise which usally cracks my back up pretty good in each direction. SBT has never had her back to crack and I showed her how to do this and it worked. It's because her erectors are so tight.

I forgot to put in here that I went to a body works exhibit this past weekend at the science museum. It was SOOOOoooo Neat!!! Never thought I would say that about dead bodies, but it was amazing! Also helped give me a better perspective on the body, despite some mislabeling of muscles :rollseyes: that I discovered. If you have never seen one, Go!

Back feels good after yesterday and the switch from SLDL’s last week to ham curls.. so far so good ;)

Ran out of glutamine a week ago and decided to just see a difference, if I could. YES I can. Recovery has been A lot slower!!! So definitely know exactly why I take that. Noticed muscle soreness sticks around a lot longer, and the joints (despite taking the joint formula) also began to ache!

Resume is complete! My sister-n-law formatted it all. I should be seeing about that hopefully tomorrow morning.
We are doing a trade for services. She is helping me with pamphlets and getting a web site etc. for me. I am putting together a weight loss plan. She finally has a gym membership. I got a e-mail that Said "YEAHHHHHH "in 30 block font with "I lost 4 pounds in the first week!" Just had to reassure her on initial loss's being quick, and to take some dang pictures, lol

Back was good this a.m. Lower back actually was sore = unusual. So she did some mobz, and worked a bit on the right side mid-thoracic area. And I feel like I can move ;)
Gave her my resume, and maybe Friday I’ll get to meet the owner. Not really pushing the whole thing at this point. As I need to get through the next couple months. My schedule looks heinous. Trying to get everything worked in before my mind goes during my cut. So over-time. I think May-June would be an excellent time to cut back to part-time here at work, and work their part-time. Working towards my ’07, and long-term goals ;)
We’ll see.

You should have!!!!! It was great! The only thing I wish they would have had an example of a body throwing a baseball. The twisting and extension of the spine up close so you could look at the deep rotators of the spine in action.
Also, a section of the neck with the extensors cut away so I could see the deep lateral (rock and tilt) muscles of the neck.

I personally like the trac better. NO Explode seems over rated. I even took a break off of NO2 products before I started using it. The blue raspberry tastes great mixed in with the blue power ade. I just don't get the same affects off the stuff though.
I'm trying the RED BLAST from the EF store next so we'll see the comparisons.

Definitely if you have the opportunity go check it out. I heard here that it is still going on there...

You just do it and don't think about it. When you stop and think about how much you are doing then you get overwhelmed. If it's the only way to get to where I need to be; well I will sacrifice now and enjoy later! :heart: rewards come with time.

Well mine will clump if I leave it in my overhead at work because the light underneath I think raises the temperature and then... clumping. So if you stored it it a tad warmer place you may have clumping do to that. I just don't turn my light on any more. No problem!

Are you doing the GMS seated or standing??

If standing - stiff or bent legged & what is the depth?
 
I have a question about the reps you choice for each set. You do 6,1,6,12,20 reps. I noticed that some of the other women also do something similar. Is there an article or thread available that explains the rep sequence?
