I find it amusing how homophobia is the only phobia that doesn't deal with fear.
acrophobia - "abnormal dread of being at a great height"
claustrophobia - "abnormal dread of being in closed or narrow spaces"
blah-blah-blah-ophobia - "abnormal dread of being blah-blah-blah"
SO WHY IS HOMOPHOBIA THE ONLY PHOBIA THAT MEANS "YOU DON'T LIKE HOMOSEXUALS."
I'm not going by my "self-exempting" definition. I'm going by the definition that logically follows from the non-PC dictionary.

Webster and the OED are PC? hahahahahhahahahha.
Actually "homophobia" is not even IN the OED, but phobia is, as I already showed you.
Yes, most phobias involve fear, but the defining symptomatic characteristic of many phobias -- of garbage, of corpses, etc. -- is an aversive reaction, disgust. I leave it to YOU, to say that fear underlies those reactions. And, obviously, if you do say that, then what underlies aversion to homosexuals would also be fear.
It's just a way of excusing your disgust -- the same way people say they aren't racist because they don't hate blacks, they just don't "like" them. In any case, I think you better look up "dread." So, Warik, we'll just call you heteosexist, okay? Better?
