Post 1 rep bench press max!!!!!

I haven't done a one rep in a while....

But I can rep 315 lbs...11-12 times...

Then finish with 225 lbs...for 25 reps

I was just bshitting cause I'm bored. The most I ever did was 425. I ripped my pec 2 years ago, so I'll never attempt a max again. Probably lost 20% strenght on chest exercises, but got stronger everywhere else. Now I do machine bp with 235 x 20 reps.

I have a trophy, although its packed up at the moment.
I have trophies for 170 and one in between (i forget how much).
plus one for my first comp, which was low.

I got 245 once, after after breaking my left arm and getting screws in it


now I need surgery on my right arm. gonna try to take it easier and think long-term (I want to live to be like 90+ and I want to lift for as much of that time as I can). I am 31.
 
I never max, but I used to do 315# for reps (3 sets of 8-10) on incline bench. Haven't been to the gym as much as I would like to lately, so that has gone down considerably.
 
I did 315 for a double a little over a year ago... i've lost lots of strength since then. I'm at 225 for like 6 reps now... i gotta get back into this shit.
 
385 for 1 rep, but that was with zero momentum off my chest. It was *very* close to a true pause and go, but not quite.
 
315 X 3 at my strongest but i will never lift heavy again due to a shoulder injury.In fact i use dumbells instead of a srt8 bar most of the time.

dude, you play tennis with your hand? YOu jog barefoot? YOu lift with gloves or straps or wrist wraps or chalk?

he didn't ask "what's your best bench with chalk" either, but i bet some of the answers included chalk.

I"m a competitive powerlifter- if i was a bodybuilder, I wouldn't give a shit how much I benched, but I do.

lol..chalk and gloves are not in the same category as bench shirts. tard. You should have simply answered:


1 rep max with bench shirt - 235
1 rep max in actuality. - 135.

after flat and incline I love doing cables, incline and decline in high reps, man do I get pumped up with finggers all over the middle of my chest.............

what's that supposed to mean? I work out without a spotter....so I have not maxed in years....I am guessing at at my max.....but that was my chest day workout thats posted and it is FACT...... :evil:

Glad you explained...because it wasnt adding up for me either...I almost posted and asked if you had maxed in a while...but did not...

My one rep is 425. But I am only reping 315 for 11-12 reps...

Thats why he called you on a discrepancy....

290x30 in a row or split into like 5 sets of 6 or something?

cool orb.....I don't know my max....It was a guess.....last time I maxed was 325...but it was several years ago NATURAL and I was 215 lbs....I hit the scales at 248 lbs last night....trying to cut on 60mgs Var 60mgs winny 50mg proviron ED....I am inclining dumbells....but my flat bench is 290 X 3 sets of 10 and I decline the same but with a close grip....I did not meen 30 reps per set..
 
315 in comp, 193lbs at weigh-in. Took second place in my class/division.

325 in gym at 225lbs. I have to be a very technical bencher, as I'm not built for it. My worst lift by far. I can't even take 400 off a 6-board.

Squatting, on the other hand, I can just power my way through, and can lock out over 700 no problem. Coming out of the bottom depends on the suit.

It's supposed to mean that there's no way in hell you hit 30 reps with 290, and max out at 315. However I see that you clarified your post, which initially should have read 290x10 x 3.

You see how the first one read like bullshit, huh? Cool. :)
 
I just met a dude that did a 435 pound bench press in a comp. at 185ibs. Man that is just to hard to beleave. But alot of bros that know him told me it was true..............WOW

how tall is he if hes like 5'5 then hes gotta be pretty big. Franco Columbu benched 500 and he was only like 185 i believe.

I see what you meen bro.....I am stronger and bigger than I have ever been...I'd like to see if I could max 400 lbs....I don't know if I'll ever be to this point again.....
 
I wasn't gonna post, but F it. 120# db's for 12. no longer max out.

I've come to a personal realization that i'm not doing this for a competition, living, or sport, just cause I like too so no more excessive ammounts for me out of fear of hurting something for nothing. But I do go a little heavier with legs, 500 and some change squat
