So I've lived here 12 years now, never surfed (but body boarded a lot), never wakeboarded (but avid snowboarder). I just never knew anyone who had a boat or went out often.
So now on Wednesday mornings me and two buddies are gonna head out to do a few runs. One guy bought a used boat, 4,000. Runs great, holds 3 people with ease, 4 is a little tight. Usually wakeboard around 25mph or so, feels a lot faster when you get whipped around on a curve.
So this was my first time, I was nervous about getting up the first time. When I first snowboarded it was terrible, the entire first day was painful and frustrating. I was afraid this would be the same, but it was WAY easier. I got up on the 3rd attempt and after that could get up consistently.
I didn't do any jumps, and tried to stay out of the wake at most times, but I'll slowly build up to more daring moves as I gain experience.
We hit the dock at 6:30am, were out there until about 9am. Great time overall, water was really warm, weather was overcast which was good because it meant no wind.
Here is me after getting up!
