OXYCOTIN.....America's Newest Drug....

From my understanding Oxycotin is in the heroine family.

My question is why are Doctors prescribing Oxycotin so freely? Traditionally, the drug has been used primarily in cancer patients. But, somehow everyone and their brother is gaining access to this drug....i.e. Wodin's mother-in-law.

As Matt touched on---the drug is HIGHLY addictive. Apparently, it takes little use to get hooked on it. And, once you are hooked it's hell coming off.

LESSON: This is one drug I will NEVER try. Once you put your hand in the flame, it can be very difficult to take it away.......

Early this year a friend comitted suicide because of this drug...YES...It has made it's way to " Small Town America " Simply because the small town Doc's have known their patients for years and see no prob's with giving it out....SUCKS!!

Ryan,

From what I understand it is prescribed as OC-4000, and is used for pain relief in cancer patients. In other words, it is some strong shit.

I have never used it but I dated a girl who was addicted to it....she would take it orally at times but also would occasionally snort it.....she had a propensity for snorting things.

Anyway - when she was on it, she was pretty numb, easygoing, but not really present in reality. As such, meaningful conversation was rare when this occured.

Contrast this with her cocaine use which caused her to bounce off of walls initially, stay up all night, and then (the next morning) be a miserable bitch.

It was usually these mornings when she would go for the OC 4000. It definitely causes a deadening of senses, especially of pain.

The long term effect (I was with her over a year) was the deadening of an awareness of reality at any time. As the time wore on, she had less emotional interest in almost anything....even her child was kind of an afterthought in time.

Anyway, I see it as addictive for people that are afraid to face the day to day challenges of life because it clearly masks them.

Damn Matt, 1 year.........

You must have a lot of patience.

I she Ok? I mean taking such a kaleidoscope of drug
cocktails(esp Alcohol+cociaine+pain killers) isn't
going to do wonders for her health.

You must have known her for a long time before dating her.

Godspeed

Fonz,

Check your PM.

It was a rough time.

It is

pharmaceutical grade heroin.......but it has been around since 95-96.......just been overshadowed by other drugs.....like crack......It has been rated the most powerful painkiller ever made......stronger than morphine

i dont do all that mind altering shit anymore, that stuffs crazy,i would rather sit back and huff on a reefer

All this hype about OXY, had me real curious,
so I tried one half of a 40 and was fine (not real high, just sort of numbed out) for about 4
hours. Then major full bore vomiting- a few times, that
night and the next morning. I couldn't keep down a small
sip of water.

It was withdrawal and/or sensitivity to synthetic opiates.
I havent vomited for many years, and forgot what it was like.

I don't fiend for more, and don't understand the addiction problem. I guess I have other weaknesses,
and didn't take enough to have a problem with it,
but the pain was more than the pleasure .

recreational users mix te drug with gravol same way they do in the hospital so you dont suffer withdrawl, thats where ya went wrong

My uncle used to cook it up and slam it. $8 a pill on the streets. It's time released oxycodone (percocet). Once you break it up the time release doesn't work and it makes it very potent. You can then snort it or bang it. Nasty shit. I was just reading about it on erowid.com , i got a slipped disc and I'm on 4 percs right now.
