Well, certainly Christians do pick and choose which parts of the scripture to believe. If all Christians believed the same thing, there'd be only one established church. But since instead there are hundreds of competing Christian sects, clearly there are theological differences of opinion, but they all use the same book. So, in a sense, all Christians are guilty of theological cherry-picking.
What's the difference between that and cherry-picking different theological ideas from a variety of organized religions?
