Why yes it has happened to me..... 135# flat bench with a 60 year old guy benching an empty bar next to me and looking at me like I was a freak going for my last rep got it about 1/4 of the way up and there was no way it was going any further.... so i sat there stuck my face turning red ssweat popping and he's just watching and he goes back to pressing his his empty bar as I dropped it on my chest in a barely controlled descent...laid there for minute contemplating whether or not I should hit him with a full plate or just a quarter...and then sort of rolled up in a crunch to get it to my abs and thighs.... and then rolled it to the floor...
