I really like this area... Right in the middle of Galveston/Downtown. Everything is down here, but it's far enough away from downtown that it's not QUITE as crazy. The traffic was HORRIBLE yesterday... I had some training over there off of 610 by Reliant..and it literally took me like 2 hours to get home (less than 30 miles) Ack.
You can buy a really nice house here for 200-300. Same house inside the loop.. Million + I'm sure lol

I spent a year on Seawall Boulevard and I will NEVER miss the smell of that town...ever.

The beach either. Swimming in a toxic black cesspool. We used to go down there to have fun but never even considered the water. Galveston used to be the rage, especially spring break. I had many a substance fueled night on those beaches. Now you can't take kegs on the beach or drive your car on it either. It killed it for most peeps. Now the kids just drive down to Padre instead.

I've actually never been on the beach itself.. I've gone down there to shop for Bikini's before just because obviously they have a million swimwear stores... and roller bladed along the seawall, but that's about it Not the cleanest place in the world, that's for sure.
