I really like this area... Right in the middle of Galveston/Downtown. Everything is down here, but it's far enough away from downtown that it's not QUITE as crazy. The traffic was HORRIBLE yesterday... I had some training over there off of 610 by Reliant..and it literally took me like 2 hours to get home (less than 30 miles) Ack.
You can buy a really nice house here for 200-300. Same house inside the loop.. Million + I'm sure lol

My parents held on to their house and bought a new one up here in Vancouver, WA. It turned out to be a smart move to lease it out bc the housing market is finally inflating in Houston like it has on the west coast. That house (the Memorial Area, right off Memorial Drive) was worth $275,000 when they bought it back in the day and is now worth close to a mill.

It sounds to me like she thought she was smart enough to beat the system and cash in. Play the innocent victim role. I might be wrong, but I've read about several high profile cases that went down like that. OJ made it look easy.
