Since now every country has, or has the ability to get, nuclear weapons, we need to keep plenty of them too. As far as the oil-cause-for-war, that's the greenie lefties' fault. There's more oil in California than we'd know what to do with, but we're not allowed to drill for it in case we cause some damn fish to have a birth defect.
