This draft is gonna do one of two things for the Jets

Turn them around to have a franchise QB and a good running back for when TJ and possible Leon Washington leaves (he wants starter money)and they will be very succesfull
OR... Sanchez could buckle like SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many others and the new york sportsworld will eat him up and it sets you back for years to come,
Problem is with this trade and many others you have little depth for injuries on alot of key positions

The defense is not weak, it's been how long since they were able to play their whole first team together? Over the last two years, their defense had the worst injury time missed. Yet, if Asante Samuel makes one fucking catch, they add another Super Bowl.

The thing I love is most teams have serious drop-off and need to rebuild. The Pats had some good additions and also keep loading up on draft picks. Hell...they have three second rounders again next year.

You have no secondary whats so ever and seymour and bruschi are old....the only hope you have in your coaching system...it takes avg players and makes them look good....maybe itll help out your secondary

How the hell do you run the ball when their RB's keep breaking down? Or better...Brady was throwing bombs. I thought for sure the Pat's would dump Maroney for a draft pick and take a decent RB. Hell....CJ Spiller is better than Maroney.

I like maroney...and they picked up fred taylor...but hes also old

How exactly are they overrated again?

Especially when the team tossed some old farts for newer meat...some quality picks and somehow once again have another 4 of the top 60 picks in next years draft? Not counting the rumor of dumping Maroney to Detroit for their 2010 second rounder.

Bruschi barely plays any more. He would have rarely played had the linebackers not been decimated with injuries. Seymour's not old, he finally is healthy and was dominating late last year. Old linemen somehow get better with age.

So again, how is this team overrated? 11-5 last year and now have some young guys, healthy vets, and Tom Brady back?

Sammy Morris was tearing people up until Steve Neal sat on him.....and then broke his leg last year. He still had 700 yards in a four man rotation with a bum leg. All Fred Taylor has to do is get 4 yards on an offense that will spread the shit out of defenses.

You keep making excuses....every team has injuries....and every team can go back, look over film and pick one play that cost them the game..
In the past you had asante and harrison in the secondary....not any longer....so they are vulnerable there.
And thier rb's are just ok...its there passing game that opens up the wholes for the rb's and a good line. So you arent as balanced and dominant of a team that you once were....before you would throw and run at will...not any longer...one demensional offense....and in the past your d would stop either run or pass....not any longer vulnerable against the pass....

Your acting like im saying the pats suck...they dont, they are a good team however they are not what they use to be a the past few years...so they are overrated because people still think they are what they use to be....im going to say they go 11-5 again this year....with brady back

As for the one play comment....you missed my point. Asante Samuel's bobble would have added another Superbowl ring. You called them overrated and I'm saying they were one bobble away from 4 Superbowl wins in this decade.

Harrison played five games last year....the year before 12 and the defense was on fire until he was hit low.

What other team has plugged a bunch of flubs into their secondary and still been able to stay with the league leaders? Sure as hell not the JETS.

Not saying that at all. You insinuated they were overrated. I think they earned being mentioned as a yearly contender.

Pitt and New England are probably the only two teams that can make the Superbowl every year and deserve the hype.

Im not saying that injuries dosent impact a team...it definitely does....but it happens to everyteam at some point. The jets lost vinnie(and he was playing very well) in week one of their season when they lost to denver in the afc championship game the year prior...the next year they had such high hopes...n vinnie goes down in week one...the following year chad goes down after he got use to being a starter...im just saying it happens....sucks but happens. Curtis martin played hurt most of the time as well as the offensive line 2 years ago...injuries have killed the jets many years....but it happens

Yes the Pats have been one of the few teams to be able to plug people in when they get injuries...that goes to their great coaching system that they have....thats why i said the pats better hope that system is really that good to overcome thier week secondary....

I also said they are overrated this year...not the past few years...i just think they have holes both on off and def that they didnt in the past....still a very good football team....just not going to be as dominant as they were in the past...11-5 is my prediction
