need some suggestions for the EF interviews i'm gonna start doing

Why don't you write down the questions you want to ask then fire away via text message and just make sure you save the answers to be transposed onto a document that you can cut and paste into Elite?

the problem with most of the interviews I’ve read on here is that they read more like a questionnaire than a conversation, not much probing further or input from the interviewer, rhetoric makes for a better read

I would go with a normal IM chat... have your questions flow in normal conversation. If you give someone too much time to think about a question its more than likely they will glorify the answer.
