I love how people use the phrase "what's the point in buying a expensive car when you can get a cheaper one and they both still get you from point A to point B"... You can say the exact same thing for women that wear diamond/gold/platinum jewelery, the only purpose it serves is to make a statement. It goes hand in hand with men that buy expensive/flashy toys, both are bought to make a statement (except cars are fun to play around in)... either or, if you can afford it, why the fuck not go all out

maserati upkeep is big bucks. Maserati gransports, Qt, F1 coupes or F1 sypders all have the "CC" transmison clutches have been known to go out in less 5k miles even. Everything on a mas is expensive to fix (dont forget it does share from the F car parts bin)

budget 4-5k a year for upkeep and repairs

1. look sick
2. demand attention
3. feel great
4. hand built
5. on the rare side still
6. expensive to keep up

why do women like expensive earing and rings? makes no sense to me but to them it does.

to each his own. A car is a hobby. yes the value will go down but so will other hobby toys (boats, campers, etc )

"buy a home instead" real estate only goes up! lol

a school of thought with autos in the family shouldnt be more then 20% of the income (includes payment, insurance, upkeep, gas, aftermarket items)

when my insurance gets outrageous I need to be able to cancel it and garage the car for 6-12 months

currently I won't get my license back until mid-decemeber

two 100mph+ reckless driving convicts in the same month
different states
both required a road trip just to go to court

the new lexus supercar will be something else! (if it even makes production) in the H.K. wallstreet journal last week they are worried that consumers in this market (cars in $150k+) will rather buy a car that has badge appeal more then anything. Yes it will out handle an F car but that buyers want an F car with that horse not a lexus


the GTR is the US version of the nissan skyline to hit the states. $70k sticker 0-60 in the 3s can beat up on porsches.

I am not sold on the looks.
