Monday- cardio and yoga
Wednesday- free weights, cardio, and pilates
Friday- water aerobics and cardio
Sunday- swimming sometimes and I take my two little cousins with me to the gym to get them out of their dad's hair for a while. They are two girls Ashley is turning 14 next week and Lindsey is 9. The teenager is laid back and the 9 year old is a handful. She is my birth control.

lol cute.

What do the girls do at the gym? Is there a day care or you have the doing the basics: squats / deads / presses already?

I take them swimming with me on Sundays to my gym. Sundays is family swim at my gym in the afternoon. Their dad ,my uncle, is a single father so I help him out sometimes by taking them to the movies or to the gym with me. I tell Lindsey is she is a good girl at the gym that I will take them to dinner at Applebees which is next to our gym. Sometimes they will play volleyball or basketball.

That sounds like fun! My nephews are still under 3 yrs old so no organized games for these 2 -- I remember family nite at the YMCA - we played a lot of bball & volleyball. Ah the good times....

Yeah, I was wondering whether or not you were going to comment on "tone"

Shadow maybe you should put together some information about *tone* I think a lot of ladies hear that word and think that's what they want... There are so many misconceptions about exercise. Women thinking
Weight training = huge man beast,
Cardio = lose fat
Tone = Mix of Denise Austin, with 2 and 3 pound dumbells at 50 reps.

I have ran into more women asking me why I want to put muscle on and have had women say you know all you have to do is tone to get that nice 'lean' look. UGHHHH

Denise Austin annoys the heck outta me....her voice is grating....

Women who ask me for advice & say they don't want to do weights & get bulky....my response is "Do I look bulky?" No..... Then I tell them what I lift & their jaws just drop..... Point proven!!

I felt that way about Denise Austin for a longgggggg time. Her yoga/pilates dvd's are actually not bad.
Agree on the weights thing! We should just have a mute button we press every time we here the words from women, "bulky, huge, beast" following weight training.
