At 500 yards using an M16A2 Ive managed 10 bullseyes in a row in the prone position with moderate wind.

If he was a skilled marksman... all of his targets would be dead.

I hate to sound morbid but most of his kills would be considered easy kills by any military trained sniper.

I'd say it is someone that was in the Maryland area at the time of the killings.
And they have a gun.

Thats funny HS, but its a sad fact that 99% of those thousands of phone in tips amount to pretty much the same thing.

M16A1....Max ranger, 4,653 meters....Max effective ranger, 460 meters....

Skilled sniper....probally not, if so, he'd probally use a 300 Win. Mag /w a bull barrel, good quality scope(Juranrtl, zeiss, leupold...etc.)

He would scout out a sight, have ave. of approach, ave. of escape, known obstacles...etc.

One shot, one kill, then move on....

His mistake is leaving brass and calling acrds...that in the end will be his downfall...he wants the publicity, he likes the game he is playing with the police, he lacks attention in regular life so this is his revenge....and I think he probally keeps a trophy of some sort for each kill.....Chances are he will pop another then lay quite for a time, then begin all over once again.....Looking at the times he has made his shots, the locations also brings up a point about employment, probally self employed or works shifts

You can profile all you want, but this is one fuked up dude....I agree that he is most likely white, but I damn sure wish it'd be some Taliban supporter....

I dont know ranger, a 223 is a good choice because it is so common ansd widespread. Also, we dont know that hes not scouting the sites? He picked areas with excellent highway access. And I dont think any casings have been found, its not to hard to pick up one casing before getting away.
