The AR-15 is the civilian version of the M-16. M-16 is the name given the AR-15 by the military. Just like the Beretta 92 is designated the M-9 by the military. It's the same weapon, just a different designation. Of course, most AR-15s are modified for civilian use.
The .223 cartridge is very effective ammunition for the snipers purposes. The rounds caused by the "tumbling" action of the bullet as it make impact are quite horrendous.

I wonder how many innocent gun owners will get their houses raided over this? I wish I could find this fucker and torture his fucking punk ass. I would tear off his fingernails-piss on them and tell him, that is for shooting those people, then I would dump gasoline on his crotch and set him afire- I would tell him "that is for helping the government ban weapons you fuck!". Then, I would fill his mouth with broken glass(which had been soaking in rubbing alcohol for added effect) and beat him with lead filled gloves.
Oh I get carried away sometimes, anyway- yeah I am sure if he is a serial sniper he is a whitey. I wouldn't rule out terrorism just yet. If it was terrorism it would be very effective. The tarot card suggest some nutball but you never know. There isn't much evidence yet either way. If he was such a great shot why did he shoot the kid in the chest? Weird, I wonder if he was moving in a car while shooting. That would be even weirder- that suggests 2 men and probably terrorism. Was he just trying to wound the kid? I wonder if he will go after cops or politicians? Maybe he will go after N'Sync? OH NO!!!
