Not IMO, going all the way down is much easier on the knees
ahh people worry too much about the knees.
Knee problems are more a result of people overtraining and compounded with poor form and muscle imbalances
and also not balancing frictional and elastic properties of the muscles - I'm not going to explain this because its too complicated - suffice to say it effects bodybuilders a lot more than say people who train for power/explosiveness
